Exactly what i think when i read something 'it's too lag; it's too hard; it's not i cant do coz it's too lag n too hard' . Magically, i saw someone with latency 500-600ms still able do Iffy without any dead (Top dps as well)While yes lags and animation lock does make ifrit harder, but they are cannbe easily overcomed. Most people that whines about ifrit never did beat Garuda themselves, go figure out why.
These demographic people will always come up with an excuse instead or perfecting their strategy, they will always come up with an excuse, they will stay bad, blames the games, and play the victim card. Not saying SE server lag is good, but even when they get better i will assure you, these demographic will still have no chance because of their mindset on how to tackle contents.
Can Ifrit(Hard) be done with gigantic lag? Yes, if you step up your play and stop goofing the fuck up. I know I did the ONE time we managed to beat it after a month of harsh fights (and then we never fought him again, hell with him).
However, that relied on a handful of facts: Our DDs were pretty much safe from plumes regardless because of safe spot and melee zone. We all could survive one or two eruptions that we'd invariably eat due to lag. The fight is sufficiently forgiving of a very minor goofup that will invariably occur with lag. Hell, not even reaction lag just the difference of positioning between server and screen.
Now look at the harder battle: Are the safe spots as easy to stay on? Can the ranged DDs just stay on that one spot the entire fight and be 100% safe from plumes? Is there still a melee zone? Is reaction time for Twin Triple Eruption same as before?
If anything, from that image and the hate reset, plumes can be a massive problem, rather than eruption. Do you need to always, very rapidly, run to the nearest clearing in the plumes? If that's true, I can attest i'm going to eat each and every single plume, regardless of my reaction time. Is that going to make it hard/impossible? Who knows.

not dodging cracks and plumes is more or less 1 shot 1 kill for whoever gets hit and you wont be able to survive in phase 3 by using sentinel to cover for your lousy timing
Wish we could get more info on this other than a couple of pictures and a video that barely showed us any of the fight. It was about as informative as if you made a video of garuda killing everyone when it 2 hours.
Any english speaking players on this yet? Or atleast getting close?
I can't wait to try it come 2.0. :Q_
