Returning from 1.7

So, I haven't played since about 1.7, and am back to check the game out.

Obviously I'm going to check on the patch notes, but that's quite the read from what I can tell so far, lol. Can anyone paraphrase the huger additions to XIV since 1.7?

I've been reading a lot about 2.0, and think that is looking pretty awesome.
