Ul'dah problem. There's 2 cities that aren't anywhere near as full.
You are the very reason why you can't expect people to use those other cities.
Use them yourself, first and foremost. And tell others to use them. Then, and only then, will you be able to realistically expect people to use those other cities.
And for what it's worth, at least on Excalibur, i've made all of my sales on Limsa and Gridania and personally always check both before resorting to Ul'Dah
I dont check them either, when you are looking for 10 items its a pain to do 30 searches in 3 areas, I stick to just uldah too unless im looking for maybe 1-2 items, and then it depends on if I have time or not. If my ls is waiting on me to grab food or arrows it's uldah onlyYou are the very reason why you can't expect people to use those other cities.

I do, it's the only reason I was able to find reasonably priced Materia, Melded gear, materials for vanya and certain potions. Hell I got my CNJ/LNC tier IV materia for 200k total in Gridania, so people use it but not everyone yet.
So as someone said the people with the "no one will use" mentality are the reason people still don't fully. I'd rather get things from Limsa and Grid than Uldah, because it's not only cheaper but outside of dungeon drops, the guilds for a lot of armor actually exist in Limsa and Gridania which is why I can find materials for certain things for cheaper.
