I think it ll be cool if there ll be a class that can use the magitek as a weapon by mount/ride it so here is the though:

How it work:

The class can be unlock maybe by have all DoH lvl 50 and player will be able to unlock new class call Engineer. The Engineer class may have and may not have craft ability but they will have a weapon and have 1 or 2 skill to survive when not ride their magitek.

When mount/ride the magitek, the engineer will have the magitek stats, exampler:
Character have A stats and magitek have B stats. When player dont ride/mount magitek the system display will be A stats and when player mount/ride magitek the system will display B stats, in other words the player stats are now magitek stats and if anything happen the magitek will be the one take dmg and not player.


Limit:
_ Player will not be able to earn exp while mount/ride magitek killing mobs, but Spirit bound player equip and drop will function normaly

_ Magitek required fuel/ammunation to be able to attack (may buy from NPC or maybe craft it, but it is depend on the engineer have the craft ability or not)

_ Magitek is a weapon and a mech therefore it player mount/ride magitek will not be able to receive healing/buff or any other group spell from player in and outside party

_ Magitek can obtain when engineer class reach lvl 20 by buy from NPC vendor (and I think about there ll be 2 type of magitek a close combat & 1 range combat)

_ Magitek is a weapon, therefore player cannot lvl it up but the player will need to reach a certain of lvl to be able to upgrade it from the NPC vendor (Tunning). Will be lvl 35 and 50 as tier 1 is lvl 20, tier 2 is lvl 35 and tier 3 is lvl 50

_ If Magitek HP reach 0% it will goes BOOM (and yes you can unmount/unride before its HP reach 0%), at this point I think about player will have to re-buy and upgrade a new one but that ll be to harsh for the future so the pay will be half of the tier upgrade to repair a 0% HP magitek

_ Magitek can only repair by the NPC sell (repair/tunning/selling can be in same worshop or store or w/e it will be)

ps:

2. This magitek doesnt have anything to do with the mount magitek Yoshida mention before where you can get it from a garlean quest. So there ll be 2 type of magitek in this game if this class got player vote and add into game and ofc they ll have different look. But ofc this is just a rough idea so please dont be to rough against it
