The rest was just to point out to everyone that's arguing that it's all moot, in a decadeish of FFXI every job at one point or another was "The best" for something.

Oh thank you.*bows*
It is sad how true that is, though thankfully it was normally the awful players that just jumped bandwagon. I personally had temporarily retired my DRG by the time I got it to 56 because I couldn't afford to gear it up for a while (which was when ToAU came out, and though seen as a bad idea considering the pink birds, I never regretted it because I knew I would have been leeching off other players which I never approved of) and took the time to further level my other jobs (and it wasn't until several months later when I got WHM to 75 that I had enough gear to properly level my DRG).The rest was just to point out to everyone that's arguing that it's all moot, in a decadeish of FFXI every job at one point or another was "The best" for something.

That was my DRK(Elvaan to boot) when I started ~55/60 I had to put it away, stupid mil+ gears hanging over my head stopping me from continuing effectively. I went THF next and learned and tried to teach SATA tactics to people cause let's face it, like SC >>> MB went the way of the dodo so did decent SATAing. I also quit for 2 years around ToAU to pursue some other interests and when I came back I almost cried, level sync made me smile til a 65 was in qufim leveling and it occured to me that it was gimping peoples skills and knowledge of thier jobs if they were really leveling like that all the way to 75 ... Then abyssea happened and I thought I maybe needed to quit.Oh thank you.*bows*

Heh, the funny thing is some of a few members of the DRG-only linkshell I was in thought I was bandwagon-hopping. Well these same members had quit DRG when the wyvern got its own emote animations, and they just went hopping bandwagons themselves. Meanwhile, I eventually got my DRG to 75, better geared than all but 2-3 of them. Funny thing, I was also the one that made it the largest DRG-only shell of any server, and my leaving it is what caused it to break up.
