I will not, I find trying to read any FFXI Taru dialogue very annoying.

Since I've never liked the character that cowardly hides behind a couch while someone else does all the work only to come out and claims credit for doing the things the second guy did, I find Hildibrand extremely annoying.

actually Hildibrand did exactly what he took credit for, his obvious incompetence did buy time... though he may have put a 'lighter' spin on it...

It may not have been your cup of tea but FFXI did have some bits of silly humor dashed in with the main story lines as well.

With the item you get from Ul'dah Inn first sleep in Ul'dah and you'll get it, then Grid then LL last - at least that was for me

I suppose I can give that a shot. My HP is set at LL so I just log out there everytime I'm done playing.

I love Hildibrand so much. I can't see the male pose animation without thinking of him, and that last cutscene had me rolling on the floor laughing. Tense moment, very serious... and there he is posing.

I usually hate that type too, but I find Hildibrand quite acceptable, because he and his dimwitted partner are literally the only one's who think he deserves credit. None of the other NPCs credit Hildibrand, so its not annoying to me.
