Lol, the same people who begged SE to not add in a completely voluntary command (jump) are the ones who are now wondering why the shoe is on the other foot.
Sweet, sweet irony.
Just wanted to point this out. <3

The irony is, most people who begged SE for a jump are the ones who wanted a useful jump and are pissed that some people want an option to filter out the animation as it serves no purpose, as in they're pissed someone wants an option for themselves.
and those that want the animation filtered out incorrectly think its something easy to add. BTW only people pissed in this thread are the ones that want the filter, you can try and say it the other way around all you want but people are not stupid enough just to take your word for it.
Animation filters are easy to do, even junkshop MMOs have animation filters...you know, those MMOs that get mass produced out of the blue? Considering you're in the camp of not having a filter, of course you'll say it's only the people who want it that are pissed.and those that want the animation filtered out incorrectly think its something easy to add. Seriously look at this topic, people are pissed that someone wants an option, deny it all you want though.
if its just an emote then I agree it would be easy to filter, but all evidence points to it not just being an emote. I keep hearing about all these supposed games that filtering animations yet not one game is actually mentioned.Animation filters are easy to do, even junkshop MMOs have animation filters...you know, those MMOs that get mass produced out of the blue? and Im sorry I guess we dont agree on what "pissed" actually is, the only two people in this thread that remotely reflected being pissed was you and Omni and that was at each other.
edit: I guess TidBones seems a bit pissed, oh he is on your side lulz
*Isn't pissed at all* O.o
I don't see how being angry is a requirement for asking for an option. D:
Most of the people in this thread asking for the filter seem pretty damn calm to me. Not angry at all. No one demanding anything. Simply.. asking.
But oh, of course, wanting anything in a game must mean you're absolutely furious and raging! lol ;3

Sorry didn't mean to imply that all that want it are pissed, myself I say sure if its an emote then again if its just an emote then I dont even want it. If its not just an emote then I dont even think it would be possible to hide it. The only thing I think SE could do is make blacklisted characters not show on your screen, so if someone is bunny hopping all around you just to piss you off you can blist them and not have to worry about it.*Isn't pissed at all* O.o

None of us know if it's possible or not, but perhaps we could get an answer to that. :3If its not just an emote then I dont even think it would be possible to hide it. Perhaps the jumping(while moving) characters could be made to appear to be running, and when jumping standing still, appear not to be moving at all. Perhaps it wouldn't be so simple. We have no idea how jumping works.
It's ok to ask though. We don't expect anything.

As many have said, the true mechanics of jump are rather unclear. We will get an answer sooner or later.
Either way, this is quite funny.
