Man chill out, i understood your point already. But i don't think you know this: where you put nice rewards to something people will spam it, whatever this event could be. After they got what they want, they'll never again do it. Will the same with your system, and you accomplished nothing, just more grind.

People get what they want and never do it again now, thats one major issue why this system is needed... If some people go solo it because they cant group it doesnt affect you because they're not doing the content now. The only difference is those who cant do shit, are able to go do it for the story, rather than being at a road block.

With my system you allow THOSE who CANT DO IT NOW, to BE ABLE TO DO IT. That is it, the Rest stays the same, rewards you still have to grind for LIKE NOW. That doesnt change, you just provide a solution for those who CANT DO CONTENT NOW.

I dont see how it would destroy things when the people who cant do things now, are stuck, unable to progress in game and either have to move onto something else or quit? Surely that is much more worse than anything else...

You are so melodramatic.

Pretty sure most people manage to get AF/GC quests done just fine. If they had scalable quests for this stuff, they would be crap, and unless they added incentive to grouping with a bunch of loot (diluting itemization and causing more problems), people would just do the easy version and it would be entirely unmemorable just like the original story in this game.

You are blowing this problem out of proportion, the OP and a few others of you have a hard time finding a group so suddenly EVERYTHING MUST BE SOLO!!!

Sorry they tried that already, it was called FFXIV 2010. A lot more people had a problem with the lackluster experience that "Solo ready!!!!" storyline content had, than the few of you who can't seem to manage to do what everyone else in the game manages just fine.

It's not hyperbole. Viion specifically said that he/she hopes all content, such as quests and storyline content and not just raids (which is the only thing that has been mentioned so far) is made scaleable, and therefore soloable.

Because LOL we can just add some insane loot grind for the "hardcore" players if they want to play with their precious "fellow players" so much!

As for my suggestion, get a group. Meet people, make friends.

Develop some social skills. Which is not an insult, following up with people, organizing something with others who need it until you have the basis for a group, helping others so that they help you, this is what everyone who gets it done does. If the extent you can "look for a group" is shouting in Ul'dah (or even worse just waiting for a shout) then you shouldn't expect much success because you are not applying your social skills very well. Luckily though, even if that is the extent you can engage with others you'll still likely get it done due to other people being better at organizing a party.

You don't have to be some social butterfly, this is an online video game and many a basement dwelling nerd who couldn't put a coherent sentence together to a stranger on a bus have managed this level of social interaction for over a decade. The fact that this "new generation" of MMO players is struggling so hard to even manage this is really disheartening.

I'm sorry but there is really no excuse for not being able to get a group for something like AF. There are still plenty of people who need it, and there always will be. If this is truly too much for you, use the content finder, but you are really missing out on arguably the biggest aspect of MMO's.

Nonetheless you shouldn't be allowed to ruin grouping for the rest of us. I'm fine with content finder, I would never use it because I don't have your issue. But at least its not taking away what I enjoy just because you can't.
