120 hours in a week huh? I'm not a virgin, not unemployed and I'm not living with my parents so between work, marriage and sleeping I don't have 17 hours in a day.you talk about loyalty, and dedicated
those factors mean you are probly doing it with a static group
and im sorry, but if thats the case, you ARE getting drops for being loyal, to your group
cuz your group, in 50 runs, probly got at least 15 drops(based on drop rates people have reported so far)
so a group of 8 people, will have to run roughly 240 hamlets to get everyone in the group their seals
thats 120 hours worth of hamlets, and you can do that in a week, 2 tops
compare that to dynamis again, where you would get 5 currencies tops maybe if you ran a full dynamis group.
5 currencies, out of 10k+ that you needed
thats over 2000 dynamis runs
oh and you can only do 2 per week.....
so you really call that "progress that shows" i call that a huge laugh
i already suggested that maybe they do need to make these seals sellable, or perhaps put them on a vendor for a HUGE price as a gil sink to remove gil from the economy. but in the end, the truth behind all drop rates in this game stands
we have next to no cooldown on instances because people whined and whined when instances were being added about not having to wait to go in again, and this is the price we had to pay for it since we have again, no cooldown to go back inside any instance save a few minutes
give us a day+ cooldown on any re-entry, and then ill fight for your high drop rates to show instant progress, otherwise, not gonna happen
You obviously don't have to take 1-2 weeks then. You can take however long you want that's the whole point it's something to shoot for. Not something to get next week.
Dude again you dont get it, it doesnt matter how long it takes, its the fact that its rewards based on RANDOM LUCK.you talk about loyalty, and dedicated

No one really cares if it takes 1 day or 1 year, the fact is you cant judge that, because its RANDOM.
And while you do all this math that has absolute no floor because, well its random just because you have a 1 in x chance doesnt mean you will get 1 every x times, statistics dont mean anything to the individual.
Vedis, listen to what people are saying. You can spam Ifrit all day every day and some people got all weapons in like a week, others took them months. The time didnt matter, its just the fact that its so random.
You can keep doing hamlet and hamlet, but no matter how many you do, you never progress until you do get your drop, all failures were complete waste (failure meaning, win but no drop).
Dynamis however, you win you win, you always get currency, you always progress and always get the item you need to progress you.
This is the main point i stress for drop rates every single time, and it truely is the factor which makes it why we have such low drop rates
And yes, I would prefer doing content less often with more chances at getting something in return. I don't know about you but my concept of fun doesn't include spamming the exact same thing 10 times a day for months until I get something. Don't pretend doing Hamlet, Raids, or Primals is still fun after you've cleared them 50 times.
you wouldnt mind having a longer cooldown, neither would i, but the problem was the discussions that went on when darkhold was first announced and EVERYONE had something to say about re-entry requirements
and EVERYONE said they wanted no cooldown, no cooldown, no cooldown and wouldnt shut up about it
and now we are paying the price for that "no cooldown"
people just dont seem to understand that part of the equation, the only reason I personaly agree with the rng the way it is, is because i understand WHY we got it.
I myself want to get stuff done quicker too, but at the end of the day, what I want is not always in the best interest of the game, and thats something SE had to look at when they did all this.
Perhaps we should petition for longer cooldowns on instances in exchange for higher drop rates? because i bet itd go a hell of a lot further then just begging for higher drop rates saying they suck and not giving any real construvtive feedback beyond "they suck" like most people are doing

I'm more pissed at the materia part of it, the rest I can handle. I just think it's a retarded move on the part of the developers to include that part of it.
and you STILL dont see the difference between dynamis, and everything we do here that i keep pointing out do youVedis, listen to what people are saying. you can only do dynamis twice a week, thats a big cooldown, in exchange for guarenteed drops
what do we have here? instance re-access
by giving things a drop rate of what dynamis had, as far as currency goes, everyone would be done with everything here in a week. and i do mean EVERYONE.
is that what you really are asking for?
if you want higher drop rates, support the institution of longer cooldowns for re-entry as a price to pay for them. Cuz thats the whole reason we have such low drop rates now

Holy shit, this is why your wrongand you STILL dont see the difference between dynamis, and everything we do here that i keep pointing out do you

Do Dynamis twice a week, get say 150 bills in one, 120 in another. You now have 270 bills towards your relic.
Do Hamlet every day of every hour in a week, and because its RANDOM, you get nothing (being little over top, you have a HIGH CHANCE to get nothing). You now have nothing towards your relic.
The amount of times you can do things means jack all crap when in the end its random. You can do it 1000 times, all those 1000 times you could end up with a random number that just aint lucky.
In 1000 Hamlets you could have a random chance to progress or not, but in the same time of doing 7 Dynamis's you always guarantee progress, it is impossible to do Dynamis without progressing. Not to mention its now on 24hr timer lol.
Also i dont know why the heck you say this "by giving things a drop rate of what dynamis had, as far as currency goes, everyone would be done with everything here in a week. " obviously if you gave dynamis drops you would require MORE because of the frequent you get them, you know like GARUDA where its 40 not 10 because they drop 2 all the time.
Dude, learn what the hell people are saying, you just make yourself look bad when you just dont understand what the issue is and you throw out silly things like that, that dont make any sense.
The problem is it is Random, XI Relic had Progression, you'd do dynamis and always progress as you always get currency, it was build that way. XIV relic on the other hand is made to be random, so any random person gets it.
Also you cry about time, but because its RANDOM one lucky mofo could go and get them all in a week. He could be super duper lucky and get his relic very fast because he won the random number game.
In the end, it wont matter. The weapons will never be relics in the rarity of XI because XI took long time on purpose, it was designed that way by requiring A LOT of the resources needed, this was a slow progress but you still progressed. Where as XIV its all random, and could favor in peoples ways so everyone will be running around with them once they win the random number. And some other people, will not be so lucky and never get them or spend a year doing it.

270 bills in 1? fivifed among what, 50 people, so you end up with 5-6 yourselfHoly shit, this is why your wrong

so again, how many dynamis would you have to do, if this is the case, cuz again, you ARE NOT getting 270 bills personaly every run, you are getting 5-6 towards the 10k you needed, thats still 2000 runs you need to finish. with alot of luck factored in to make it shorter
Now if you want to bring in the fact that everyone can focus on 1 person getting it at a time, then the same can be said here, and groups ARE NOT doing 50+ runs with 0 drops here, the drop rate has been confirmed to be around 30% when you do the full run with a good score for it. So in that case, youll finish it every 30 or so runs, which can all be done in a single day! unlike dynamis
My XIVPad: http://xivpads.com?2031148
Why would you give all the bills to 50 people? Also why do you need 50 people? lmao how long ago did you play XI, jeeze...270 bills in 1? fivifed among what, 50 people, so you end up with 5-6 yourself
so again, how many dynamis would you have to do, if this is the case, cuz again, you ARE NOT getting 270 bills personaly every run, you are getting 5-6 towards the 10k you needed, thats still 2000 runs you need to finish. with alot of luck factored in to make it shorter

The buyer keeps the bills, the rest get the gear. Although if you go learn how dynamis is now, its not like how it used to be, go learn my friend =)
You still dont get it, you keep talking about how long it takes.
No one cares about how long it takes (are you blind? are you reading this?), its about the fact that its random, it rewards based on dumb luck not effort.
If this doesn't drill into your head, then i give up.... Lost cause...
Also 30% means jackshit, statistics dont mean anything to the individual. There are plenty of items with 1% drop rate, and people got it on their first run, thus its 100% to them, I could go do it now 100 times and not get one, thats 0% drop rate to me.
30% means nothing, if it was a chance of scoring a number below 30 i can easily get numbers above 30 an infinite amount.
