Matter of style. If people want nearly naked characters, there is the whole crowd of korean MMOs like Aion, Tera etc. to fap to.

Like you say, it's matter of style and taste. If people likes it, who are you to judge? I don't particularly like Viera, but i dont care if they are implemented, i don't lose fingers if they do.

Nor do I. All I wanted is to confirm people seem to want them because of them showing so much skin.

One part about FFXIV I like is armors actually being armors, not following the typical korean way of higher level = more skin. As long as they don't change that, I don't really care.

I fully agree with this. While personally I'm partial to cute races (like miqo'te and viera), I absolutely love that this game has realistic armour, in that heavier armour actually hides more. The heavy darklight set even makes it difficult to tell what gender the person is.

I never want that to change.
