New Jobs: As much as I like to see Dark Knight, it is very understandable why a stealth, pet, and new class should make it's way in here first. We need higher variety of roles in this game. I am personally looking forward to Musketeer and hope that guild in Limsa gets put to use.
Combo System: The combo system itself is a very nice addition to the game and offers more fast pace action to the system. However as he mentioned in the letter, the positioning is a major pain and very hard to perform on mobs who don't like to stand still. Hopefully they will look into making the melees more like BLMs where it only doesn't count if it is inaccurate, but make the ability more potent if hit in a certain position. Maybe my idea may need adjustments here and there, but I think it could work.
Crafting: Not surprising that not many people have a high level crafted job. People are more battle focused in these type of games. I am actually kind of glad it feels hard to level crafting jobs. I don't think just anyone should have a high level crafting class. I think it should take hard work to get yourself up there. I say this because the economy will just go down the drain if everyone could get all their craft levels up and just make whatever they want. Gear that is crafted needs to be worth something. Crafted items in FFXI were expensive because a small amount of players actually took full use of the crafting system and made things valuable.
Repair and Materia: I agree with this. It would be funny if a blacksmith could repair a robe. We have NPC's stationed at gates and don't think making it easier is highly needed. Materia is the same on that matter.
Gathering: Same thing with crafting, gathering shouldn't be that easy to level and should cater to people who have patience to level it. I do notice that the content for gatherers is very minimal, but still plays an important role in the game on the market side. That cobalt ore needs to come from somewhere! But it would be nice to come up with neat ideas to make DoL more interactive and fun, can't wait to see what SE has in store for them in 2.0.
Expectations of 2.0: Not surprised on this one either. Pretty safe to say that most people just want to see how different 2.0 is. People have been craving that information since October. I just want to know the work I have put into the current version will be worth it. I play believing 2.0 will be everything SE is telling me it will be.
Races: Wasn't surprised on this one either. This is a JRPG and most people prefer the more cute type of races. It would be cool to see a Viera like race. At the same time, I want a race that can stand in the crowd, not going to hardcore on their features like Korean MMO's do. I want new additions, and at the same time, want them to blend into the world.
