majority of people are lazy, if se just became lazy because they wanted to do things at their own pace and not try to keep on track as much as possible we would care? fuck yes we would care. and i personally care that the majority of the population think the leveling is just right. All this mindset is creates is the attitude give it to me now attitude. Are you guys playing the same game we are? i mean come on tell me how much gear you bought 1-40 or how easy it is to level cause so many people are still leveling. You bought hardly no low level gear and not many are shouting. Most people are done. This isn't even a question specially if se wants to appeal to new players. What is going to happen when a people start trickling in and don't have nothing to do anything with because everyone is capped out. That is what is happening and has already happened.

But why? Why do you call people who enjoy leveling as it is now lazy? Why does it matter as long as people are enjoying themselves? And more importantly, what makes your opinion any more valid than the majority of players who like it as it is?

In the current state of the game, what is there to even do along the way besides a few low level dungeons and quests? Even if they did slow leveling down, most of the content that there is currently would already completed on their first trek to 50. Is it learning their job? I met people in FFXI who were even more clueless about how to play their job. A good player is a good player and they will learn the mechanics no matter how fast leveling is. Also, what does fighting dodos have to teach you about the mechanics of a fight such as Garuda or Ifrit? The mechanics of the lower level dungeons are far too simple regardless.

To be honest i don't care about it but, if you can tell me more then one reason why keeping it the same would benefit the game i will drop the whole bit but, just enjoyment and everyone leveling super fast is great for the vets but, gonna suck for new players that don't have anyone to level with but, meh!? i

My personal opinion: I don't care how long it takes to level as long as leveling is fun. Currently, it isn't fun. There is not enough content along the way to support more than one class from 1-50. There needs to be options besides leves and grinding.

Yoshi-P said in his letter that the leveling speed is intentionally set were it is until the arrival of 2.0. I am fine with that because in 2.0 they are adding a ton of things to do.

I completely agree with you i'm probably one of the few that do enjoy leveling and increasing my job slowly over time but, your 100% right it isn't fun right now and it's fast imo, and slowing down isn't going to make it anymore fun. While i agree that i would love if they added in new areas as you level that you could explore quest that you didn't as you leveled along or just other things that take your mind off of the plain fact that your just leveling. I am not arguing that it shouldn't be fun i am just saying that it has to slow down because if it don't player are all gonna be capped out and any new player that joins wont have anyone to level with. That is all. Like i said i could care less i guess because i am a vet to this game been playing since launch except for my deployment but, at the same time i do care about the time i have invested and i know the game can't stay the way it is and succeed.

Issue with this thread is it's too little to late. Most people probably have all the jobs they intend to level at cap already so slowing down the pace at this point will make no sense. Unless SE were to completely scrap what we already have come 2.0 the only thing that is going to happen is that playstation 3 players will constantly play catch-up while the pc community continuously shoves them to the side.

Unless you make a second account no, you're not so we have to hope to god that SE actually bring in alot of players in 2.0 instead of a few here and there because if not they are not gonna stay cause not everyone wants to solo to 50. If you don't understand what i am saying then sorry, i am not gonna waste my time.

Nail on the head. As it stands the only real reason vets(pc players) will have any inclanation to play with new players is if SE decide to throw some capped story missions but no one wants that. Pretty much come 2.0 we'll just have 2 separate communities, one the vets (who will be viewed as elitist pricks) and 2 the the ps3 players who are learning the game still. That is not to say that there won't be any nice PC players but current ls's are pretty full as is so would be hard for the ps3 influx to join shells. But what is done is done and you can't really turn the gauntlet back now.

Yea, i know jokerz man, i am glad you understand what i am saying man. It's a shame and trust me i hope the best for this game but, it's gonna be rough for a while for sure. I know it's a little too late but, hopefully just hopefully i can show a couple that if you just think outside the box instead of just thinking about your self that it boils down to a bigger picture. I'm not saying anyone that responded to my post or comment that it is fine is not thinking about anyone else but, i just don't think they are seeing the bigger picture of the matter.
