Vanity Slots?

I really love some of the gear on FFXIV I wish I could wear it even though I surpassed it. . Am I the only one who wants this XD? I noticed almost every MMO has this. And i think it would be a great way for players to always look unique.

Oh, there's quite a movement in favor of such a feature. We kinda gathered here for a bit until the whining over the hotfix and the lack of a trailer started. =P

and not make sense for someone wearing plate helm to display a straw hat unless their is an illusionist like class or ability etc... which we don't have.

You mean just like all those other characters in previous Final Fantasy games that were equipped with minerva vests, red jackets and such but their character model never changed? This is more to emphasize character uniqueness. If someone out there designs his BLM to have wear a white fedora with a black suit jacket and pants, he's more than welcome to so long as his job was allowed to wear those at some point before he had to replace them due to the need for better stats.
