On the forums, some of the popular jobs being requested is Bluemage, Thief, Ninja, Samurai, and Summoner. I can see Gridania being the place of origin for Summoner. But, truth be told we don't have a place of origin for the others yet. Ask yourself this question, where would jobs like Ninja, and Samurai come from? What would that place look like? I think we'll need new area, and lore to accompany each job respectfully.

We don't really have a holy place where WHM or PLD can call a home, and DRG cant even enter Ishgard and so on and so fourth.

Indeed adding more classes/jobs is fun and delaying them is bad so consider these few classes that has not been implemented yet. Beastmaster, Musketeer, and Arcanist. Some already have Dat files for them, and background stories, and a place of origin to call home. They're just waiting to be unlocked. As proof to one of these findings here is a youtube video link of a GM Arcanist below.

I'm not talking about FFXI. If you want to get more serious I suggest you read the OP again as I mention new lore and origin for new jobs. As it is the main topic of this thread.
