Essentially an avatar is just a pet. The skin doesn't matter at all however the statistics and the abilities do!

Summoners better pray to the 12 that the class plays the way they want it to rather than whining about the cosmetics!



And on another note - Whilst I like having the races from XI I'd prefer some completely new avatars. Stuff we've never ever seen before!
How about a fire avatar that isn't bloodthirsty for a change.

The elemental wheel itself has changed, too!
I imagine avatars will reflect this
