Do not like the idea of R1 being treated differently than R20. Theres already enough competition on the server to get to top20 (usually drives the supply points to 15mil). But now if theres competition for the top spot? Its going to blow.

they should jsut have achievements for the top 20 or something. like placed in the top 20, placed in the top 10, placed in the top 5 ect.
Uhhh I dunno what server you play on, but no one has been turning in jack shit. I was #1 on the last Golden Bazaar with no competition. Then I hear from LS mates checking Limsa's supply rating and they said if I wanted to be #1 there I'd have to beat only like... 120k. LOL
I'm referring to the weekends. Golden Bazaar last Sat was at 13mil. Previous weekend Hyrstmil was at 18mil.Uhhh I dunno what server you play on, but no one has been turning in jack shit. No influence to do Hamlet except for the small amount of people are trying to get the beastmen items.Uhhh I dunno what server you play on, but no one has been turning in jack shit. You'd only have to beat 120k caues there's no difference between 1-20 if that's changes then then it'll just turn into an auction type situation til someone caves in.Uhhh I dunno what server you play on, but no one has been turning in jack shit. First place has 120k, oh now someone's topped them at 150k, person fights back 190k, Another person enters the fray 210k, person Persona A comes back at 220k, Person B now has 250k, Person C gives 300k, Person D comes in with 400k, Person A retaliates with 500k, Person B quits, Person C goes to 600k, Person D goes for 1mil, Person A reaches 990k before time runs out.
Now ALL those materials have been wasted just so they can take advantage of the Top rank for 25hrs in which after all is said and done everyone starts back at 0. It's just a stupid concept which would clearly be shown on paper, it makes the sink to big. It would be easy enough to have the sink be this.
Let's say we reach a point where We have Rank 5 supply rank.
When the rank supply is Rank 1 you only need to supply 100k for a chance at the second loot list
Rank 2= If you have supplied 100k you only get 50% drop rate from second loot list while 200k would get 100%
Rank 3= 100k=33% 200k=66% 300k=100%
Rank 4= 100k=25% 200k=50% 300k=75% 400k=100%
Rank 5= 100k=20% 200k=40% 300k=60% 400k=80% 500k=100%
The top 20 systems just makes it where only 20 people will want to do the event since they know they can get a secondary loot list out of it. Making such a small population have a chance at certain loot is an idiotic concept which only works in destroying an otherwise fun instance.
I really hope they don't consider taking this stupid route and actually making it a difference to be 1-20 since all that will do is cause the sink which is created from this to be way to large for the award one can get.
The whole issue with Hamlet is it goes against all other content in this game so far, all other content which has been introduced has been in a sense "casual" friendly and allow people do things at their own pace or as much as they like. However Hamlet has a horrendous time restriction and it's small window only works to discourage people from doing the event. It just isn't worthwhile to take time to do the event if you don't even have a chance of being in the Top 20, sure I have a chance at getting 2 pieces of gear but I have no change in heck of getting the secondary tools or the accessories unless I am able to take the time to supply the Hamlet and obtain the top 20.
Ok so maybe I have time to do it a day before the event and I reach Top 15, but then within that 24hr phase upon heading back I find that my name is no longer on the list. This is the fear a majority of people have, the 50hr phase ok, sure a long phase to supply, there's no point to supply a Hamlet early on since by the time it clicks towards that final hour what's to say people who have horded items won't just come in and end up bumping you off the list.
So perhaps that person who spent 2-3hrs of free time they had to supply the Hamlet has now just wasted they're time because other people who have horded items handed it in and bumped them off the list. This type of discouragement is what makes Hamlet so unpopular that making the Top 1-20 different will just destroy the whole concept entirely.
As #1 in top 20 I got 4 green items upon talking to the NPC out of 7 runs. My other LS mates were 2nd, 3rd, and 4th and only two got 1/7.You'd only have to beat 120k caues there's no difference between 1-20 if that's changes then then it'll just turn into an auction type situation til someone caves in.

Either I was lucky or there really are higher rates for 1st place. Either way, RNG is a barbaric way to deal with drops in an MMO. Maybe not for some systems, but for every piece of content? Yep.
