WHY does SE insist on making this game so unforgiving?

It's rediculous. I mean, I'm a WHM. I cant possibly heal any faster, cant regen for any more than it already gives. I cant possibly DD any better on my monk or warrior, unless I get a boss weapon, which brings me to my point. WHY oh WHY does SE INSIST on making this game so rediculous? ONE minor, microscopic screwup, and it's a wipe, one person dies for five seconds, its a wipe. The NMs in said battles (ifrit, Garuda, Moogle) do such insane damage its retarded. Its not like we have thousands upon thousands of HP. The DMG is just way too high, and its ONLY LEVEL 50. I dont know what I could possibly do different, I do the best I can, yet every run I'm ever in is a wipe. It makes the game just not fun at all. They really need to tone it down in 2.0 at least, or they'll be losing another customer, which they are already losing alot as it is. To any person that replies with "hurr hurr suck less" or something equally stupid, I played XI for like six years and haven't had nearly as much difficulty THERE as I do HERE. I feel like I haven't progressed at ALL, and it just gets worse day after day. I want to play a game I can progress and grow in at a reasonable rate, not play a game i can wipe in the same fight day after day. It's just not fun. It just makes me want to quit MMOs all together, permanently.

Play better, or get teammates that play better. All the content is easily doable, all you need to do is practice.

Doesn't feel any different from 11 and I was there for 7 years.
This game is already a lot more forgiving.

usually when tank/whm dies, thats when wipe may occur....get a better tank or play better as healer?

The only time I ever wipe is when people don't have the mechanics of a fight memorized. The fights are very smooth when the tank and healer know what they are doing and very fast when the DD know what they are doing. I've never been in a fight and thought "This isn't possible" but I have thought many times "This isn't possible with this group of people"

Idk but i feel that this game is too easymode to my taste... :| i mean the boss challenge is kind of fun but on another note.. dunno why ppl keep dying (Always last to die).

It's red-iculous. I mean, I'm a PLD. I can heal, tank, and defend against most anything. I can die and get raised in a matter of seconds without disrupting the battle flow, which brings me to my next point. WHY oh WHY does SE INSIST on making this game so red-iculous? 10 major, cataclysmic screwups, and it's no biggy. Entire party wipes multiple times, we just get back up and try again with no real consequence except lost time. The NMs in said battles (ifrit, Garuda, Moogle) do so little to deter my team. It's like we have thousands upon thousands of HP. The DMG is just way too low, and its ONLY LEVEL 50. I could just smash buttons all day, and I'd still do just fine, and every run I'm ever in just wins no problem. It makes the game too fun. I get your frustration to SE's very cheap execution to their idea of "difficulty".
(1-shotting is highly cheap, i wish SE will balance this someday)

It really does suck in this day & age, but i do not plan to expect that much out of SE in terms of game design for that matter. I'd tell you to go play [insert any other MMO] but i know it's not usually the case.

The only thing left to say is "do what you feel". You might be at a point in your life where you really are done with MMOs, or perhaps you should aspire to do what SE can not & get into game design yourself if it is your passion. Although it's likely the former.
If so, i'd suggest you take a serious break from the game until the first expansion or even later than that. Try a few of the newer MMO's that actually provide some level of fun. You might just be outgrowing SE & Final Fantasy MMO's.

I must say though, if EVERY run you're in is a wipe because of 1 or 2 deaths you really should find better players (not being mean).
Ifrit can be won with 3-4 people if you give it time. Moogle can be kited for a very long time if koop is killed early on and you only have 3-4 people alive.
I can't comment on Garuda yet since i have yet to attempt her since patch.

Usually people start giving up the more people they see dead (really frustrates me), i've watched people wipe and start giving up after only a couple deaths.

Since it seems you're tired of wiping to content, i must suggest you apply or find a LS that is capable of not royally sucking ass (truly).

If you pursue this and still find yourself not enjoying the game, well then... there's your answer.
