Wow, and apparently you have nothing better to do than troll the forums, looking to pick fights! There were in fact, several other posts/threads being started throughout the forums that were specifically aimed at bitching and complaining about the lack of content added in 1.22a, with weapons being the prime expectation. Even those who weren't specifically complaining but rather asking for some info (such as myself) were still centered around the subject of the job-specific/AF weapons. Yet you took the time to pick out mine and make a huge deal out of nothing, and can't handle it when your obvious high-and-mighty defense for the company against all who might flame to those who even ask a simple question, would be referred to as a "white knight". Has your e-peen grown the few desired inches yet? Does it make you feel so much better to flame onto someone asking a simple question about something the company alludes to possibly including within the last patch?
Go save some face yourself and do something worthwhile with your time rather than trolling forums, looking for posts to shit on.
No need to shit on post's when they are shit to begin with.
Your logic:
Trolls = putting people in there place.
Then yes I am a troll. Good day.

I will go out on a limb here. The NPC mention 'repair the weapons of old' according to what I saw around here. I'm roughly guessing that means merely the upgrading of the AF weapons, making them up to part with primal/darksteel weapons. Whereas the AF weapons themselves will be more of a 'make do' high end and involve the culmination of the particular plotlines of each job.Merely speculation here but that alone has me thinking that there's more to it than just this. Someone said earlier though that you can buy more than one of the key item "On the Properties of Beastmen". Can anyone confirm this? If you can buy multiples, especially at the same time, then you may very well need one for every AF weapon.
God I want to finally defeat my goddamn dragon nemesis, I want to kill that hater and take his other eye >:E

This game is not WoW; if you want WoW, go play WoW. If you get butthurt when people mention Final Fantasy XI, then shut up about WoW.As much as it might hurt you, and as much as someone else brings the balance issues up, FFXI had the jobs right. And, you know, this is a FF, and I don't see you guys complaining about people asking for WoW things. So please.
Also, it's not like this dev team is being true to the roots of the jobs anyway.

I hope it is 25K seals per weapon, just so people have a reason to value them

This is FFXIV, of course it will.

Because you're guaranteed at least 4 drops from Toto-rak if you speed run? It's not luck based, if your party members won't pass stuff until they have all their weapons then you really need to find better friends. Has nothing to do with the RNG.

aye that's true but we done know if these seals are luck based atm.
And yet, everyone still acts like an asshole when you try to do group content and its your first time. I can't tell you how many times I have answered a party shouting for ifrit or moogle, and even though I am the job and level they need (with all the prereq for the quests done), I get turned away because I haven't done it before. What is even more annoying is that I am a tank, and people act like, by not having done this tiny piece of content before, I have somehow forgotten ALL of the mechanics of tanking. The only information I need as a tank to do a good job is where to stand and when (and IF) I need to kite anything, and yet people think that would take waaaaaaay to long to explain or that, somehow, after tanking the 1 million things i needed to to get to level 50 and get all my AF, I will get into the instance they are shouting for and go, "holy shit, I ain't ever seen an ifrit before, what does provoke do again?"
The fact remains, if you don't have 8 people in your ls to do this stuff with, you aren't going to do it. End of story. If you honestly think your going to get pick up parties for this sort of thing right now, your delusional.

Mmm, that's what I mean by set reasonable goals.they already set it was gonna be dificult and long term to get them
this is one way to do it..
and it is very reasonable goal to do.
Its like saying that leveling isnt casual either, and its unfair that you have to spend so many ours to do it and casual players cant be 50 as fast as hardcore players with more time.
its literaly the same thing.
Put the time into it as you can, and youll get there, thats all that matters.
Do not say: I must have 50 everything, and 7/7 everything, but I can only spend 3 hours a week.
Say: I can only spend 3 hours a week, let me focus on one or two jobs and see if I can get a a couple weapons along the way.
There needs to be content for those who have a lot of time to grind out each and every achievement *tickles Thevedis*, and content for those who can only spend a few hours a week here (which I think there already is). Now, its just a matter of everyone accepting that.
Perhaps these new seal items are aimed at those who want to spend a lot of time here. Those who can not, should be accepting and understanding that there should be content geared towards those who can spend a lot of time here.
Btw I had not done Hrysmill battle yet but....
At level 2 does
Sazol Ciloc the Divine appear?
There's an achievement specific to him (and 2 others for the other 2 hamlets) and I checked one person I know had beat Hrysmill hamlet and does not have this achievement.
IF that is the case I bet these "seals" only drop off these 3 NMs which are activated by....? Level 5 hamlet? Which isn't possible atm.
-edit-
O wierd I asked someone else and they said it does but they dont have achievement listed on lodestone either or I am just blind xD
