Funny, if you read my initial post that you took the time to flame on, you'd see that all I was asking for was a dev response; after all, if you took the time to read Letter from the Producer XXVI (I even linked it for you to save you some work), you'd notice Yoshi-P saying "I’ll be sure to keep you in the know on our progress in coming letters." Since the following Letter from the Producer, XXVII made no mention as to whether or not job-specific weapons would be released in 1.22a, I'm simply asking for a dev response. Not a ninja-fix to add in the weapons tomorrow to "feed my entitlement", just a simple sentence or paragraph to appease to the curiosity of the community.
And with you defending the company saying that "in business somethings get delayed" despite the fact they obviously stated they'd keep us in the know, well, guess you're a bit deserving of that "buzz word", no? Come back and flame when you know what the hell you're talking about.
This game is not WoW; if you want WoW, go play WoW. If you get butthurt when people mention Final Fantasy XI, then shut up about WoW.As much as it might hurt you, and as much as someone else brings the balance issues up, FFXI had the jobs right. And, you know, this is a FF, and I don't see you guys complaining about people asking for WoW things. So please.
Also, it's not like this dev team is being true to the roots of the jobs anyway.

still going to get it, and even if it were just lore, i would want it. even if it were that my character knew more of their lore, i would want it. but especially if it means your character could better interact with NPC beastmen without offending them (if you did not want to offend them, that is) i would want it... time to grind some seals
Nothing will happen right now, from 1.22a patch notes:Just a thought, all we know is that 25k seal key item + 3 different Primal seals = note from Rowena to get Gerolt to do stuff. It's entirely possible that you only have to do this once and then he's willing to make you weapons. It's also possible that this is just the acquisition phase and that upgrading the weapons is some kind of quest line. We simply don't know what happens when you give Gerolt the note.
* The soiled promissory note item will be used in a quest scheduled for release in 1.22b or later.
No. There is enough content that everyone can obtain with either luck or just because it's a joke. We need actual content that isn't based on an RNG and that not just anybody can obtain.pls note to SE:
Dear SE..... we want AF's WEAPONS....... not RELIC.........
why they have to put a 25k seals item on a thing is just suposed to be a quest.... is not meldable or soemthing usefull on the endgaming soo just give us the damn AF and focus on next patch pls....
ty <3 Yoshida-p........ sorry
Also on another note me and my LS mates are speculating that the weapons will have a new WS since they are analyzing cost-estimations, and when thinking about it making animations for this game is the most expensive out of everything. Here's to hoping!

Apparently there is much you need to be taught.Funny, if you read my initial post that you took the time to flame on, you'd see that all I was asking for was a dev response; after all, if you took the time to read Letter from the Producer XXVI (I even linked it for you to save you some work), you'd notice Yoshi-P saying "I’ll be sure to keep you in the know on our progress in coming letters." If you could focus for a second on something other than your childish needs, you'd see that I wasn't defending a company I was trying to teach you the meaning of "likelihood". I'm pretty sure your parents should have taught you that "likelihood" isn't a definitive answer. Even modifying the word with "High likelihood", like Yoshi-P does in your own links if you read them, still not definitive. Now that it didn't happen you are no more than a little kid crying out to his parents "why why why" when he didn't get his way.
So, in the end you need to take your own advice and read. From your link of Letter XXVII, "Now, I’d like to make an extra mention regarding the job-exclusive weapons listed among the updates. As you can see, there’s a chance that it’ll take until patch 1.22a or later." 1.22b would be later. Please keep the QQing till after that patch, then kindly ask why and not flame devs acting like you deserve an answer.
Now that I once again made you look like a fool, for your sake I hope you'll save some face and just stop posting.

Wow, and apparently you have nothing better to do than troll the forums, looking to pick fights! There were in fact, several other posts/threads being started throughout the forums that were specifically aimed at bitching and complaining about the lack of content added in 1.22a, with weapons being the prime expectation. Even those who weren't specifically complaining but rather asking for some info (such as myself) were still centered around the subject of the job-specific/AF weapons. Yet you took the time to pick out mine and make a huge deal out of nothing, and can't handle it when your obvious high-and-mighty defense for the company against all who might flame to those who even ask a simple question, would be referred to as a "white knight". Has your e-peen grown the few desired inches yet? Does it make you feel so much better to flame onto someone asking a simple question about something the company alludes to possibly including within the last patch?Apparently there is much you need to be taught.

Go save some face yourself and do something worthwhile with your time rather than trolling forums, looking for posts to shit on.

How is this not luck? Seems about the same as popping a Darklight Chest to me. RNG chance that gear falls into the inventory of one of your party members, who won't pass the seals until they have all 7 of their weapons.I really do hope that it requires both the 3 seals and the key item for every AF weapon so people will specialize more into their job of choice instead of everyone having everything. Again. It's certainly possible to get everything still but I don't think everyone will be willing to get 175,000 seals just for all the AF weapons. AF Armor was a lot easier since it was just questlines, these actually take a bit of work.
And I'm very happy that they do take a bit of work. Granted it's not that much work (if the level 2 bosses drop the items that is, not sure how hard level 5 bosses would be), but still enough that it looks like it'll be a small accomplishment that for once DIDN'T depend entirely on luck to obtain.
Also I'm going to be really really sad if the WHM AF weapon has nuking stats on it.
This thread used to be pretty good.
