I'm all for overcoming adversity and using lesser appreciated classes and jobs but I don't want my race to be part of that. I don't want to feel like I'm gimped just because I chose Hyur over Miqo'te or Roegadyn.Am I the only one who enjoys overcoming adverse odds? In FFXI I would roll a Galka White Mage for the challenge of proving myself. I would level PUP and BST and DRG and BLU and other lolClasses because I wanted to prove that I'm not some slouch who can't be useful.
I know this isn't everyone else's mindset, so it can't really be used as an argument for racial statbonuseshindrances. But still...
Does that make me a masochist?
