Are the nightclub ad spammers found on the EU and JP servers as well, or is this something unique to NA?

It definitely happens on EU as well but I feel like there's been fewer and fewer of them lately. It's mostly FC ads now. They're mildly annoying but that's about it. Then again, I can't speak objectively because I play a male Elezen and that means the people who would DM a female character ignore me.

They unfortunately are, in fact there's this dude called "petebunny" or whatever likely paying people in gils to go advertise in every main city like almost every hour, i got to his instagram profile and it's exactly what i was expecting too.

I don't know about other worlds but in Twintania it's almost nonstop.

They are on EU, yeah. Typically in the three main cities, as well as S9. I assume Tuliyollal as well, but don't quote me on that. Frankly, the FC ads tend to be just as bad, if not worse, because they span multiple lines and term filtering them suuuucks.

I'm more annoyed by FC invites without consent when you're ith out FC.
Sure you can declline, but I dislike these aggressive tactics.

If you set your online status to Busy it auto-declines FC invites. Granted you have to manually set the status every time you're online, but it pre-empts having to decline any invites.

On the actual topic, I agree that the venue shout ads are annoying and pointless. I pretty much just automatically mute anyone I see doing it these days. The most annoying is getting ads for venues on other DCs... who on earth is going to DC travel for a venue they saw a shout ad for? I can get traveling to go to a specific venue you already had in mind to visit, but not "oh that shout advertising a venue with the exact same things as every other venue looks good, let me log out, DC travel, log back in, and then head to this venue so I can /lean against the wall and watch a room full of catgirls /beesknees to a twitch DJ".
Also, you gotta love being on Crystal and seeing a shout ad from someone from Primal advertising a venue on Dynamis... maybe DC travel was a mistake, actually.

This one always confused me as well (just reverse Dynamis and Crystal). It was funny though when the person was trying to advertise a Balmung or Aether venue during peak hours, as if anyone could have traveled there even if they wanted to go there, lol.

Not just that but I've seen ads on Chaos for FCs in Light, like as if we need to destroy Chaos more.

That's just bizarre. Why would anyone change DC just for an FC?

For some people the only thing stopping them from transferring is the worry that they'll have no FC/friend group waiting for them when they arrive and have to start over building one. So an advertisement like that is probably meant to tell people on Chaos they have a "landing pad" waiting for them if they're willing to move (bonus points if they bring some friends along). It probably sounds even more tempting if the Chaos player in question DOESN'T have an FC/friend group at all, so why stay somewhere "dead and lonely" when there's people ready to welcome them elsewhere?

I've seen similar PFs on Dynamis, usually from Crystal players, trying to coax the RP crowd away to join them. Some even talked about their own FC's while copycatting the PFs for Dynamis venues as if to say "see, we have the same kind of theme/vibe, so why stay here when we offer that and more".

I imagine with player counts dropping, there's people on the more active data centers who aren't against trying to "poach" from the less active ones, since they're the ones most likely to be hurting from the lack of other players, and it keeps the active ones thriving at the expense of whichever data center they're trying to pull from.
