Is anyone really surprised there's people in the FF14 community who would defend 40 year old's walking up to 14 year old girls and telling them they'd be a good e prostitute.

Persobnally I really just visit the cities when I need to. Buy actions, MB or for the Glamour Dresser, maybe some open-world RP (which I might add, is a bubble, and anyone without the RP tag on is ignored).
Otherwise I'm in the private house, FC house (I'm the FC leader and need to be there ever so often or it will be trashed), gathering, crafting, RPing.
I said it before in this thread, even in the game you fail to touch grass. I bet you didn't give those patches of grass in Limsa a single look for months.
It does wonders for your soul if you don't see a single ad for days because you actually move around in the game and don't bother looking at the chat.
Also having a sound cue for standard emotes towards you helps.
I think the rating should be changed to 16+, due to heavy and dark themes in the game.

Dawntrail is what I imagine the entire MSQ as a healer-main.
Not surprised, considering that in some areas and countries this is deemed as "okay".
Aside from this, I completely ignore them because i got so used to it that whenever I see giant red text I already know what it is. Bigger concern are those that spam PF with unnecessary garbage and flood first pages.
Are the nightclub ad spammers found on the EU and JP servers as well, or is this something unique to NA?

Oh, they're around on the EU servers as well. Not sure how often they advertise these days, since I only visit cities to cash in gear for seals/seasonal events, but there used to be quite a few shouts a year or so back at least. Enough for me to filter them out, even though they did their best to get around common word filters.
I see people yelling often in any of the hubs where players would typically be, at least that is my experience on Chaos DC. When I'm on Light DC I'm usually visiting friends so I don't see any shout ads or anything enough to comment.
I guess it's annoying because people are paid to advertise via shouts and I guess it's easy Gil for a simple task that many can do (so individually blocking people would be less effective of a strategy), or so I heard.
Imo the channel is mostly used for those random things, so it would be fine to just filter it out on your main chat channel tab to be honest.
This topic is another reason NA forum isn't taken seriously.

No it is a valid reason. PF isn't really meant for Venue adverts anyway. It just was a good place to advertise to get noticed. But people have taken it too far with 4-5 PF listing just to counter another groups 4-5 Listing and it creates clutter but also they are soliciting services that are 18+ with a playerbase that varies in age. And with no ability to filter these players out other then putting the onus on the player wanting entry to these "districts" to be honest. It needs to stay out of public view

he's going to grift, harass, downplay, disenfranchise, gaslight, stalk, and gate keep!
I dion't think it's that often, at least not on the server I'm on. At least not often enough to interrupt a conversation. Then again I tend to avoid the hubs.Oh, they're around on the EU servers as well. They do increase around the wekend, though.

GTA taught me to make sure the homies are safe, and this is 100% a joke. Gotta kiss your homies (this is a joke, i don't condone or enforce people to do any kissing of anyone)
A happy family between a viera, a goddess and a child
