    This.

If you haven't noticed, FFXIV didn't do so hot. SE wants these people to come back. They're confident enough to give them the free time, and I'm sure they'd love to hear about the experience the players had. Feedback is the number one thing this game needs to stay current. Not every bit of feedback is going to be constructive, hence the idea to put the comments in a separate board.

lol... not even all the feedback they have *now* is constructive, so people can't even begin to use that as a reason this shouldn't happen.

Love it. Love everything about it.

They'll actually have experience playing the game, and we'll get a valuable outside view. We've grown with this game, eased into it. The sort of opinions from players who experience the changes all at once is a good perspective for us to hear out.

Yeah, there's concern about trolling, but I think we could weed out the bitter posts for a week, and I personally think what we gain is well worth the risk.
I'd rather not. If you're not paying for it, you have no voice. Its like democracy. Non-citizens don't get to vote on shit, and there's a reason for that. Non-shareholders don't get an opinion on company matters, and there's a reason for that. Hearing opinions is great, and feedback is always good, but giving them a legitimate voice is a bit much. I agree they should have limited forum access to one area designated precisely for them. I don't want ppl with no vested interest in the game (read: aint paying shit) to try and dictate its direction. As they say, put up or shut up...in this case we're talking about money.

The more responses like this, the more I hope SE does this. It shows how calcified some of the views are here that people are this afraid SE might listen to feedback other than theirs.

Eh, we have alot of trolls still floating around. I don't see the harm in letting some of the old ones back in.

Its just prudence and common sense. Its the whole reason why non-subscribers dont get forum access. If youre not vested in something, you are less likely to make good and well thought out suggestions. You have nothing at stake, so you could care less what comes out your mouth and what the end result is. Thats the reality of it. Anyone with a brain cell can throw out suggestions. Not everyone will bother doing so responsibly unless they have a stake in the outcome.

I'm not sure we're using the same forums at all O.o Half the people paying aren't even throwing out suggestions responsibly. Your argument makes no sense if you read even half the topics around here.
