Has the dev team take accountability for the failure of Dawntrail?

7.2 was an improvement over base DT and 7.1 in gameplay and Writing. 7.3 was a further improvement over that in both as well, and it concluded DT on a good note.

That's my opinion, sure, but they've already turned the corner for me and this is what I asked for. In a month we're getting the first prologue bit for 8.0. DT is already being set behind us.

They said going into 6.1 and DT that they were performing several large experiments to help determine the next 10 years of the game. It's clear that they were going in one direction and had to stay the course for 7.1 as they were already fairly committed to their guess as to what we would want. I have a hunch that this was possibly due to some corporate pressure to focus on a new market, rather than maintain its current population.

Clearly, they saw that their ideas were incorrect and started to change in 7.2 and 7.3. Hopefully this will be confirmed in 7.4 through 8.0, time will tell but due to the extensive damage to the game, it will take a lot of time to heal.
