Why is having characters in the same title cheasy?
Why not give back to your fan base who made you what you are?
Why is it bad to make money?

You are making all your assumptions on a game that isnt out yet.
Let me rephrase this if the story was epic, the gameplay fun and the game was multiverse would you support the idea? Because its a possibility and if you have the mentality everything will fail nothing would ever come to fruition.

That would all be boring or weird, unless you change the stories/setting for the original games; doing that would just piss off the people who enjoyed those games so much and don't want to see them changed.

I feel that is a well thought out and fair argument as to why a FF multiverse: MMO would not be a good idea, aside from the cost of the project.

yeah but see, that's different. gilgamesh is a dimensional hopper who always mantains his purpose in life.
dimension hopping yourself to meet characters from other final fantasy titles just because you liked their games is cheesy.

FF have serious story lines, finite storylines. They begin and they end.

its not about the characters, its about stories bigger than these people who become grand because of the circumstances.

I don't want to walk into cecil's and rosa's married life. what the hell. I don't want to see what they're up to. That's fan service for the sake of fan service.
