I don't think people here understand that actually sticking with the party members who know what they are doing is, typically, the logical conclusion. Like you can easily stack the conal mobs and the poppets, for the most part, but you shouldn't stack stuff like the birds that target. You can stack dreamers, but you can't stack succubi. It's literally common sense. Similarly, if you dunno wtf you're doing and you stand hell knows where, maybe don't be surprised when the out/in murders you. I've had plenty of matched parties where everyone had their shit together and we quietly knew what to do, but newbies in the higher floors keep not answering when asked if they are, indeed, newbies, and then make everything worse for everyone else.

Like yeah, I fucked up before and got scolded. And y'know what? I deserved that. But I listened and learnt, something the average FFXIV player seems to be incapable of because yOu dOn't PaY mY suB or whatever.

Of course sticking with party members who know what they're doing is the logical conclusion. I don't think anyone would debate that. In reference to the context you were remarking about before, that wasn't the case. Things that shouldn't have been stacked together were stacked, people stood places they weren't suppose to so clearly in those instances those matched parties had no idea what they were doing.

But the one or two people knowing what they are doing while the rest of the party doesn't, doesn't mean that a wipe isn't gonna happen. Their mistakes can wipe a group and punish the people who knew what to do. That's how the combined random nature of Deep Dungeon + Random groups in matched parties end up going, there isn't always gonna be coordination or people knowing what they're doing. DD isn't something you can approach like DF Dungeons and a lot of sprouts might not initially get that.

I mean, you just described an instanced PvE content in literally every existing or the past multiplayer video game. People always did that, in all of these games - they get into duty/raid/dungeon to bash some dumb, scripted AI "enemy" which has very finite amount of attack patterns that are always executed in predetermined way and try to do it as fast as possible (including saving time on unnecessary typing) so they can get their XP/currency/fancy item and finally get back to something that is actually fun, like socializing at in-game social hubs

People do not talk in instances because Communication is not encouraged. No planning is needed once each person understands how a dungeon is generally done. The party does not need to problem solve anything other than DPS. If dungeons start posing questions other than "DPS" then you will find more people communicating more. I doubt that the formula will much change despite everything though.

If you're ever looking for empty "Hello!" spam, there's plenty of that in Crystalline Conflict.

without fun jobs none of the content is fun!
jobs should have their full rotations on lvl 60 or 70! for a better low lvl experience.
for satisfying glam builduing we need 5 basic glamplates + 2 more for each class / job
pls give us a proper glam collection like every other mmo has.
pls upgrade the gear from normal raid and also alliance-raid by 10 ilvl each.
pls add old glowy ex trial weapons for new jobs!
and for gods sake pls give as the ability to preview any hairstyle on our own character!

I mean, I've seen the way a lot (and I do mean A LOT) of people here talk about casuals for over a year now, to say nothing of the other kinds of hateful crap that gets spewed from time to time. If that's at all indicative of how most people act in-game, why would I WANT to talk to them? Better to stay silent, get done, and get out because any notion of this game having a "nice and friendly community" became a meme years ago.
Feels like I see more people complaining about casual 'hatred' than seeing actual casual 'hatred.'

For example, how would it teach others to do better other than showing there are rude players everywhere and just doing duty support from now on is a good idea? If the party is doing extremely poorly, it's much easier to leave or vote abandon than start fights with strangers.
Read it again, I specifically said PF, as in Party Finder.
Because when doing higher end content you're spending a lot of time to get the party started in the first place, everyone joining should have the same goal in mind and you have pre-requisites already stated in the info.

So when you then have someone who is sandbagging 7 other people it becomes a problem but you also don't want to have to get out of the instance, potentially have the party collapse and spend another hour finding people again.

Not being able to address the obvious problem will likely cause all of these.

In basic duty finder content nobody cares, not now and not in the past.

People only talk when something either goes wrong or when something insanely funny happens. Other than that, generally it's quiet. o7 o/ Hello! sometimes not even bye. Believe communication is more centred around FCs etc now. Which in all honesty I don't even communicate in all the time.
