The opening statement here is complete rubbish. You can win at ranked CC by just “hitting people” is the most ridiculous take I’ve ever heard.

At what point in any of my posts have I said, "You can win CC by hitting people?". I'll wait...

If a single person dcs in a match, you’re all but guaranteed a loss. I’ve had team mates completely not play in frontline and still won along with most having no idea what they’re doing.

Playing an FL match almost over half a party down is also going to leave you at a notable disadvantage, wouldn't you agree?

And, as for the 'I've won FL with teams who have no idea what they’re doing', perhaps consider the circumstances of that win. Are you fortunate enough to be playing against enemy teams who also have no idea of what they’re doing? Highly likely considering many casuals approach to FL. Similar to saying, 'I won a bronze rank or unranked CC match with a team who had no idea what they were doing'. Put them against a Crystal rank team / FL premade, and it would be a very different story.

Just diving in, in CC is a death sentence and since CC is all about the numerical advantage…you just cost your team the match.

You’re still posting when you haven’t shown your stats.

Here’s your reality. You’re most likely one of those people who tried and failed at CC. Instead of continuing to play and developing the needed skill set to be successful, you went to frontline to stomp noobs so you could feel superior. Problem with that idea…even omega rank play frontline. You most likely jump in thinking you can dominate, then run into a skilled SAM and get wrecked. Your next stop is the forums to complain about how “SAM’s lb is overpowered”. The devs make changes for your benefit and you still can’t get it right. Back to the forums you go. You could prove that wrong with your stat line������������*♂️

You challenged the OP’s skill and knowledge, in hopes of solidifying your stance on how you feel. I’m redirecting it to you. There’s no debating with someone who doesn’t understand what they’re even talking about. Stop trying to distract people from the topic at hand. What burns me up is how so many toxic people exist in our community. I see this post as a way to bring a topic to everyone’s attention. A topic that directly affects the more valuable part of our community. The casual/noob. If I’m understanding what the true intention for the OP was, it was to make everyone aware that our actions can have a negative effect on them. Turning a mode that’s there for them to find a love for PvP/the game into a cesspool of toxic chat and outright shaming, because some of us go overboard, is wrong. Your actions could be the catalyst that turns them away from PvP or ff14 in general. We need people to keep the game alive and continue to have fun.

Too often people show up and derail solid talking points with misinformation, insults, and baiting. It needs to stop. The loud minority is honestly what’s crippling the game. It’s fine to not agree because you don’t feel the same way or have different view point, but you have to know when your feelings don’t match what’s really happening. Instead of trying to pick a fight, why not put that energy into a post that could possibly help the game? You want more out of the mode, why not ask for it instead of white knighting every post you feel is against the thing you like?

Apologies to anyone who lost interest in the topic because someone had to show up with misinformation and taunts for their own sake. If you want to educate people in how to properly play frontline, make a post with details. If you want to play with other like minded people, start a party finder. There’s options anyone can use that isn’t as toxic as jumping on the forums to pick a fight with someone for asking a simple question you don’t agree with.

I tend to hold the same stance in regard to pve content as well where it's been a crippling problem for a while now, happy to see some people still share this view in a sea of misplaced elitism/gatekeepism.

All this tells me is that you are struggling to make a point based upon discussion alone and are looking for other options to redirect attention.

Across my alt characters, I play enough to get my commendation crystals for glamours. Beyond there, the further rewards of portrait kits aren't worth the time when my interest in CC is so heavily outweighed by my interest in FL:
I prefer the challenge of large-scale PvP, of winning against the odds when faced with poor RNG luck or a 2v1 scenario. Personally, CC just doesn't spark my interest to the same extent.

Signed one of those that I'm 'stomping', right? As you haven’t yet proved otherwise. In fact, your previous comment of describing someone with a desire to win as being someone wanting to 'ruin' what should be a 'fun, casual' duty very much supports such a theory.

You’re absolutely right. I’d also like to see other popular PvP modes like TDM, king of the hill, free 4 all, or HVT to name a few. CC can get boring no matter how many maps they make. Some spice to something that’s already fun would be great.

Let me put it in ff14 terms….

You dove into the front lines (forums) and hit the tank (OP).
You were pressing a bunch of buttons (posts) but a dps (me) hit you with a stun.
No matter how many more buttons you press (more pointless posts) nothing works.
You gotta purify man (stats) before you can do anything else.

I’ll even offer meeting up in game and synchronizing our CC queue so you can prove your CC/PvP mastery. We’re talking about PvP in this post that makes this the Colosseum. You’re challenging gladiators. Time to stop cutting promos and show what your words can’t.
