    You said it best yourself. They are entitled to their opinion outside work. So I do not understand what you have a problem with.

    That said, political influences make it into creative works. I think Star Trek abolished money or something like that. Just need to remember that it's fiction and to not take it seriously.

    Lifelong Trek fan here. It's less about "money doesn't exist" as some kind of political statement, and more about post-scarcity improvment of the human condition, as Carin said. As Captain Picard said in Star Trek: First Contact,
