Personally, I don't know the real-world-political views of anyone at Square Enix, nor have I run across information that would lead me to believe your concerns have any validity.

I don't know how you can write a compelling and engaging story without injecting some of your own beliefs into it. Humans are not robots.

We all know what the OP is actually talking about. They don't really mind politics in games as long as they are the ones they believe in.

You can't write a politically neutral story when the genre is WOL defeating the bad guys of the world, good vs evil etc...

And when the 2 sides are "treat everyone equally" and "half the human race is inferior to me and deserve to not exist" it's quite clear what direction a hero story is going to go in.

This is most likely what's upsetting OP, they connect emotionally with all the bad guys we keep killing.

Conservatives will always be like "we're not ALL white nationalists, why would you accuse us of that???" and then when someone says we need to purge white nationalists they go "why do you want to purge all conservatives???" It's so transparent, lol.
