I was totally fine with people using mods until I heard that there was underage content being made. Of course this is such a small minority of players but they have a massive impact on a company if that stuff were to take off or somehow make its way into the media. If I am a business owner nothing shuts my company down faster than underage modding, its gross and everyone religious, non religious , left , right , center white, black ect finds it repulsive.

That stuff is still going to happen. If anything, the fork of mare that was allowing 'underage content' is still up and available right now lol.

Literally the only thing removing mare does and force modders to make a new one.

Thats a sound argument similar to the gun control argument. If you ban all guns the criminals will still have it and commit crimes similar to these creeps using mare for that specific " activity". Is the solution just simply to not do anything then or is this on the community as a whole to seriously police this action up when its discovered

The 'creeps' are already not using mare because mare had rules against it, while the fork I mentioned (that is still up and useable, reminder) was made to get around those rules.

So quite literally, the thing you're complaining about is still happening and got hit way less hard than folks using mare for 'normal' stuff.

Thats unfortunate it still is going on and there isnt something the community at large can do to stop it. I dont know all the ins and outs of the mods so my knowledge of this might not be up to speed on what others know so I just assumed that it could be shut off with more ease.

If it was fake, then the dev would be exposing themselves to liability and retaliation from SE. And if that was ever the case, oh the discovery phase would be popcorn worthy to see where all that patreon funding was going.

It's like you guys want the game to die, starting to wonder if people here are Blizzard employees.

People created their own content, this improves player retention, SE does nothing to offer vanilla players a reason to play. Cycle repeats enough to alienate vanilla players, *something* kills what a large chunk of players use to validate their continued presence in the game, annihilating a group that required *zero* effort on SE's part to retain... that's going to seal the deal.

Financials for xiv were already cut in half *before* this occurred.

There's already content in this game, a large chunk really, that absolutely cannot be played unless you can convince people to run it with you. You could sit in a queue on aether for 24 hours and it never pop.

This sentiment of yours I keep seeing here is clearly one that wants to see this game dead and buried.
