oh, grow up. sounds like you're just mad because your catgirl can't have assets the size of blimps.

I can see why for using it for genuine RP, creating a character that goes beyond the character creator. I know this something the community has been wanting for a long time and SE has failed to listen on this. People want their character's to be unique. But honestly, the upscales I seen of the vanilla armor and weapons would be a reason I reckon and other lore friendly armors and such out there. As I tried to experience the roleplay scene myself bringing my character as a Tarot Reader to venues, I met a lot of players, mainly male characters, approaching me and looking for other types of services ERP to be precise. While I know there is genuine RP because I participated in a lot of them, I also know that the gooning are the ones crying the most about this. Also I can say that all the RPs I've seen that were not ERP didn't need any mods to be played mainly because most of what it's described in RPs not even mods can reproduce so it's usually to the players' imagination. So if you're looking for those genuine RPs why not using your imagination along with tthe game elements like we do in D&D and other tabletops?
But its a visual game complete with emotes and locations so I can somewhat understand why it would be use. I am a person that is, asides from the possibility of using things off the mogstation without paying for it, if it makes a game more enjoyable for those players have it. That's my take. But I get where you are coming from as well.
As a long time RPer on a Crystal server (since the start of ARR) honestly this might improve the RP scene in the long run. The datacenter was already "ruined" by all the ERP night club gooners with their massively inflated body parts from mods junking up a lot of public RP venues.
On the plus side the huge sub drop this will cause might light a fire under squares butt

Thanks for the clarification, I was lost as hell trying to follow this thread lol. I'm like what the hell are these people even talking about. This thread is reference to an illegal third-party tool (“Mare Lamentorum”) used to facilitate piracy of Square Enix intellectual property, which has been taken down by Square Enix via legal action. Some players are dissatisfied with the legal document (“Final Fantasy XIV User Agreement”) that they agreed to upon registering for a service account, and wish to contravene its terms. However, there is no sign that Square Enix will revise the User Agreement to allow illegal third-party tools.

Madame president, a second moon has hit the Quicksands, I repeat, a second moon has hit the Quicksands.

This just means people who have been perpetually locked out of certain servers will finally be able to make a character.
Balmung has been locked down for how long now?
Dawntrail so bad it killed ERP.
The 14 forums are where awful players go to yell into the void the only issue is that the void then listens.
