    The Buff cap needs either extended, or ideally removed.

    Pretty self explanatory. The buff cap needs to either be extended out way, way more, or ideally, just remove it. It limits job design, makes certain encounters more of an annoyance than necessary, and causes players to screw up their rotations through no fault of their own. Players should not have to go, "oh I should sequence my burst slightly differently because I have reached buff cap." Especially if OC's phantom job system is going to be expanded for further experimentation.

    To make matters worse, it's as if the developers producing battle content are not aware of this limitation. TOP had the notorious P3 memes where people would hit enrage due to so many enchantments during 2-minute bursts, missing critical personal or raid buffs. Field Ops content is also notorious for these issues.

    They also don't design new abilities while being aware of the fact. There are many abilities that give multiple buff that could easily be done with only 1 or 2. If I were to give an example, it would be Monk's "Fire's Reply"

    Deals damage to all nearby enemies with a potency of 1,400 for the first enemy, and 35% less for all remaining enemies.
    Additional Effect: Grants Formless Fist, allowing the execution of a weaponskill that requires a certain form, without being in that form
    Duration: 30s
    Any additional effects associated with the executed action will also be applied.
    Can only be executed while under the effect of Fire's Rumination.
    There is no reason for Fire's Reply to require Fire's Rumination buff because both the Riddle of Fire and Fire's Rumination buffs are 20 secs, so there is no way to delay Fire's Reply outside of Riddle of Fire. They could give Fire's Reply 30 sec cooldown and tie it into Riddle of Fire buff instead. So now, Riddle of Fire only gives Monk 1 buff instead of 2. And don't get me started on the defensive buffs that healers give.

    I feel like field content would also benefit from a type of “totem” in which you could place every field content specific permanent buff onto it (including armour) to reduce buff clutter in field content

    Like going into say DRS and you have 3 rays, resurrection restriction, shell, protect all the boss specific debuffs and your buffs. Forked tower has resurrection restriction, shell, mastery stacks, hoofin it and all relevant mechanics

    Can they just allow us to place all the armour, rays, and other permanent buffs onto a totem in the camp so that we only have 1 buff active which is just “totem buff active”

    Buff overcap in field content is just ridiculous

    As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

    I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

    They won't remove the cap but they should extend it. Whatever network limitation they think there is can be worked around, because it's the job of a programmer to make things possible, not to tell their bosses that it's not possible.

    I wonder if that is what made DoT actions so sparse nowadays... And most importantly, if that would mean we may really never see a true dot-heavy job again.

    personal buff limit is a much bigger concern

    I swear I remember my DoTs dropping off long ago in Alliance Raids or on hunts. I think the only reason I stopped noticing it actually was because I enabled the "only show my own DoTs" feature. I remember it happening a lot in the Heavensward alliance raids such as Dun Scaith when I did them regularly on Bard.

    As such, it could be a concern in rare cases if, say, Ninja's damage vuln or Reprisal dropped off. I think to combat this they have a priority system of status types? But it's still annoying when your effects drop off. It was so annoying constantly having to refresh my DoT on Bard then all the other jobs pushing it off the boss with their own.

    I actually assumed it was just a display bug (client cap not server cap). I thought, surely it's not actually removing it, and I'm just refreshing the DoT in case. But when I learned of the buff cap issues some people were getting with the 2 minute burst and also in BA/DRS, I realized it must have actually been erasing people's DoTs.

    They tried some time ago for 8-ppl content, brought a game breaking bug with it, reverted it, and never spoke a word of anything. Still waiting on them to try again.
