So, the rule is: stick to your role 100% of the time… except when you decide otherwise? Got it.

The funny thing is, FFXIV’s devs literally design content expecting healers to DPS, tanks to handle themselves without a constant medkit, and DPS to occasionally pull if the pace drags. That’s not “selfish” or “stupid” — that’s called playing the game as intended.

You keep framing any deviation from your script as a moral failing, but maybe it’s less about everyone else being toxic and more about you not liking when the run doesn’t revolve around your comfort zone.

The Duty Finder isn’t your personal static. If you really need that level of control over how people play their jobs, there’s always Party Finder — or single-player games where no one will ever pull the “wrong” mob.
