Limit housing bids for FCs

One issue i've found (more-so lately with the influx of houses available on NA worlds) is that FC bids can be swayed severely in favour of a free company when 20+ people from one FC bid on one plot.

Whilst I understand everyone gets a chance to bid on a property, Free Companies using their entire FC to bid on one plot is just entirely unfair. Watching crowds of one FC just making the lotto numbers shoot up is just awful.

Limiting it to one or two people per FC being able to bid on an FC-Exclusive plot would make it far more fair, as the housing system is already like pulling hen's teeth to even get a plot.

Limit the bids, introduce new subdivisions and wards, let people have a chance.

In 2025 there should be no reason wards (which are instances) can't be unlimted thus preventing the need for bidding in general or at the very least making it easier to get a plot cause as the plots fill up a new ward will appear in the list

I fear the reasoning SE may use will just be game resources/limits. Which, sure, whatever - there's no point arguing on that front which is a shame. But giving an option like what WoW is introducing being private instances etc would also be really nice. I don't like the look of most of the WoW housing stuff either but the way they're implementing it is far healthier than what SE are doing. But that also isn't the point of the post.

The point of my post is just limit the FC bidding on what we do currently have in the game, since it can just be heavily swayed in the FC's favour.

I don't know.Housing doesn't move the needle as much as people think it does.

I'm sure people are going to jump in and try it out , but how many are going to stick to it is the real question.

I play wow pretty routinely when I feel interested in the story (I’m an elf roleplayer/enjoyer so I don’t usually care when there’s no elf-specific quests. I.e lore stuff about nelves, belves etc.) I know myself that I won’t be touching WoW’s housing until we get Nelf/Belf specific stuff. I’m glad guilds will get a housing district there for themselves, I actually like that a lot as an idea.

But again, wow isn’t the point of my post Q^Q

Oh yeah, right mb.

This is a very fair take. It levels the playing field. So large f c's can't swarm large numbers of plots with bids. Thnd it makes picking a plot very commital.

I think FC's that represent more active people should in fact get more votes, as more people will benefit from having the house.

System is working as intended. FC's more deserving of a house and in a greater need that can positively benefit more people, can provide more lotto entries.

I don't know about others but I started playing WoW last winter when they announced housing and I've been playing it since then. I used to be obsessed with XIV housing but I don't care anymore, I gave my solo FC house to my friend and now I only resub for big patches.

Sure, housing is not out in WoW yet but it already sounds better because of this alone: "Public Neighborhoods – These are created as needed by the game servers and anyone can buy a house in them. As they fill up, new instances are created" - If Blizz can do this, why can't SE?? Also, WoW houses will be permanent.

I'm still waiting to see just how committed to it all they are, myself. Back in Warlords of Draenor the previews were all about "put your garrison in any zone!" and "you'll be able to have garrison buildings that fit your specific race!" - and that got changed to "your garrison can only be in one place" and "look, you're stuck with orc or human buildings - but you can change the flags!"

The overall setup sounds promising, but the devil will be in the details.
