Hamlet defense feedback from a top 20 provisioner: Critical problems and solutions

I don't have any info, it's just an assumption. Yoshi said the fish hat wouldn't be available until 1.22a, which is when Limsa is getting its hamlet defense. I figured that meant that each region would have its own hat, so Gridania gets the BTN hat, Ul'dah get the MNR hat, and Limsa gets the FSH hat.

That's what I'm assuming though. I don't know for sure.

Aleport and Golden bazaar are bolth being added on the 10th, their list of achievements were already confirmed by someone. (something about a "dat ass party")

Just a quick note, the max level you can get hamlet up to right now is level 2. When they up that (and I have no idea if that will be in an a/b patch, or in 1.23) they can readjust the point system, or add different items that have more value for turn-in to compensate.

I have a feeling the loot table from the captain (top 20 npc) is functioning as designed, but I fear that the loot table for the chest is incomplete, unintentionally.

Bayohne, i would really appreciate a confirmation of this, as non-top 20 people are starting to not want to do hamlet anymore... I am sure that was not an ideal (or even planned) result.

It is fairly depressing. You spend the better part of two days doing your best to stay on the list, and you're rewarded with dark matter... I got more dark matter just from all the fishing I was doing.

You'd think the captain would be more appreciative :P.

ive had a 30% drop rate from him so far, kinda hard to tell if thats the norm til ive done this multiple days on top

Yeah, I'll admit I only got one win, only tried it about 4 times too, so I'm not the best source of information. I'm waiting on Limsa's to pour my energy into.

my group is now 3/16 with drops, so id say its pretty decent

Out of 19 wins last week (hamlet level 2) I got 3 items from the captain. the rest of the party got... nothing.
