Sorry I don't really buy that, the trade off is being able to use 1 per x amount of time to all the time with a trade off, there is no win buttons in a figure of speech and by that statement you more or less need to come with another approach to things.
Played several games since Tuesday, the purify changes are god awful and I hate the fact it's tied to recuperate - it actually feels like there's less options for counterplay now and the CCs feel even more egregious.

The concept of the "PvP trinket", a single golden ticket you can push once, and only once, in a time of crisis, was so solid. It's a solid design that makes it feel meaningful. The new design just isn't it. I'm used to the new Purify, and I get that I need to consider my MP supplies, but we're kind of losing an important moment in gameplay by tying it to MP. I like MP just being the Recuperate resource. This was better both for beginners and veterans alike.
Lots of excuses here. Press it only once if that's your preference. If you really super need to spam 4 recuperates in a row to get out of a jam and only three recuperates won't do it, you made a poor decision ten seconds ago.
This change is essentially a systemic nerf to Tank and Melee roles.
You’re unlikely to hear many complaints from Ranged roles (except in a few odd cases)
Until Melee players adapt, or Ranged jobs receive a potency adjustment, Ranged roles really have no grounds to complain.
And if Ranged players still find themselves struggling after this change, the first thing they should do is a self-check.

Yeah, I'm not pleased with this change at all. This is a gigantic nerf to crowd control and a colossal buff to crowd control jobs as a result. Having played some crowd control heavy jobs (notably WAR in ranked), it's incredible how powerful you immediately feel by burning everybody's MP away. It feels so overpowered now.
What they have made is essentially turned Purify into a trap.
What are you even talking about?? In 7.1 only MNK lost theirs. GNB gained more, WAR gained even more??

I like the change to Purify, my favorite change after the animation delays.
The Purify change raises the non-existent skill ceiling in CC by a slight amount. I've been noticing more people think before hitting the Purify button now.
Hitting Purify mindlessly before was a surefire way to lose, perform badly or being caught pants down when it would have actually mattered, and the idea that there was no consideration of when to press it or when to refrain from doing it before is ludicrous or disingenuous.
