    Thoughts on the Purify changes?

    Thread to collect different opinions on the new iteration of Purify.

    How do you feel about it?

    For now my first tendency is that I don't like it very much. Maybe high level players will be able to get better use out of it so my perspective is limited. But as a very average player I feel like my survivability is worse than before.
    I feel the missing recuperate a lot more than I feel the benefit of removing chain stuns (in CC! FL could be a very different story).

    I've had more encounters where I need to use purify only once anyways but would have dearly needed the extra heal.

    (E.g. You have little MP left and you get stunned once. Remove the stun and suffer because you have no follow-up heal. Or leave the stun hoping you survive and can heal afterwards.)

    Ironically it has lead to me not really using purify more but less. In order to save MP for recuperate I sit out more status afflictions than before when I couldn't re-apply purify.

    And even when I get chain-stunned the extra purify doesn't really help that much because pressing it multiple times robs me of the several recuperates I would have needed to counter the onslaught of several players who cast said multiple stuns on me. (Or they hit me right in that 2 second downtime between purify wearing off and the cooldown ending. Or purify doesn't react as it sometimes does.)

    Edit: Oh, and of course I still get chain-stunned whenever I'm out of MP and can't re-use purify to begin with, which happens quite often too.


    Anyway, perhaps that's also just my initial "ew, this is new and different and I don't like it" reaction. I'll have to observe if and how it changes over time.
