Wouldn't a chat bubble disappear before you get chance to read a long-winded speech anyway? That's the reason I would find it pointless.I've used chat bubbles for long enough to confidently say that, at least in my own experience, two lines will result in messages being cut off more often than not, and doubly so for RP as you said. To me that defeats the whole point of the feature, which is to be able to ignore the chat window entirely and just look at who you're speaking with.
I think it will be useful for raid callouts.
I don't know what they've set as the default time before the bubbles disappear but in general for anyone who can read reasonably quickly that should only be an issue for EXTREMELY long messages which aren't that common. They are however commonly longer than two lines.
Is it that hard to make them last longer, proportional to the amount of text? Or just giving us the option to set the length at least? Why is this a problem?
Secretly had a crush on Mao
I think they said this will be disabled for combat.
As for longer messages and timing, it would be as easy as: Mouseover the player to see their last message, use your wheel to scroll through their history of messages in the zone.
