I'd rather have them keeping SMN and RDM's raises... but maybe with a shorter recast time and instant. Something like being just a job perk of a "bonus Phoenix Down" rather than an identity defining aspect that impacts their dps severely.

So once again - for the fifth time in a row - we will get a storyline finale dungeon that is a phantasmal/holographic recreation of the villain's long-lost home, where they will explain their sad backstory and why their homeland was so wonderful and great and deserves to be the ONLY thing that exists, and trauma dump onto us as they cope with their inability to let go of the past.
Just like Amaurot.
And Dead Ends.
And Lunar Subterrane.
And Alexandria.
The only difference this time is Calyx is a scientist so he won't be quite as maudlin and whiny about it as other villains.
As much of a Shadowbringers simp as I am, I am begging you, SE... Get some new material.
They tried that. It was Dawn Trail. According to the masses, the MSQ wasn't great.
I do admit that they need to change up the formula a fair bit with their MSQ these days than the previous. I think we peaked hard in SB/EW with the writing. We certainly need to start bringing back some shock value and shake things up a fair bit.
As for my own gripes, not addressing the housing was a letdown for me. Pretty sure I heard them say they'd mention it last time.
New Deep Dungeon/Treasure Hunting looks great and the Meso Terminal stage looks extremely nice. Say what you will about some things, but when they deliver content, this expansion has been banging out some good changes despite most things.
This patch feels very slim again, much like 7.1. The usual MSQ dungeon and trial, but no Ultimate, no Chaotic, no Variant/Criterion dungeon... Only thing of interest for me is the Deep Dungeon and that doesn't even come out until 7.35.
People complained plenty about 7.1 being such a boring patch, and we're pretty much repeating it with this one. Also where's the housing changes? I was kidding when I said they'll come in 7.55 but at this rate that'll be the reality.
I'm definitely getting tired of these recreation story dungeons. It was neat the first couple of times but now it's the norm. We have the echo, just let us have some flashbacks to what happened years ago and give us more dungeons that isn't just a walk through the past.So once again - for the fifth time in a row - we will get a storyline finale dungeon that is a phantasmal/holographic recreation of the villain's long-lost home, where they will explain their sad backstory and why their homeland was so wonderful and great and deserves to be the ONLY thing that exists, and trauma dump onto us as they cope with their inability to let go of the past.

I wouldn't mind at this point. I always felt Rez fit a ritualist like Summoner, but I feel it just kept it stuck in terrible damage and maybe limited it in other ways. Maybe they could replace it with something more complex / damage to do.

What CSIII thinks will happen: "This will prioritize healers as the only job class that can truly perform raises on demand, providig an expanded role for them in parties. Improved healer gameplay!"
What will actually happen: Two nigh-immortal Warriors will take turns occasionally being able to pick two DPS up off the floor.

We're getting 6.3 again is what the LL was.
- They made a couple changes to the deep dungeon, gave the 4th Palace of the Dead release some depth for once.
- They delayed housing again, so the only people who are still playing the game are gonna be mad
- Barring the quick and clean end of the DT story arc with the effective complete excision of the characters from it (think how they did that with Lyse and Raubahn (I miss him)) in StB, the MSQ will still be going in a terrible direction even now. They just introduced Mr Bad Man Scary Boi and ig we're gonna kill him now, or he's just gonna be a blemish we carry to 8.0. Ironically they're probably only going to permanently remove Krile and Erenville since they love ruining the things people seem to like
- Your typical pvp, dungeon, extreme, alliance raid, treasure dungeon shit that you always get in the X.3 patch. Nothing special to see here.
- Chat bubbles for people who haven't been modding for a decade are coming out. Gamers who just woke up from a 20 year coma reportedly "not impressed"
- Did I mention Palace of the Dead 4 is different?
- The next Deep Dungeon is different
- In the new Deep Dungeon-
This was a live letter about a Deep Dungeon...

But whenever you try to make the point that it's literally just the same old tired x.3 stuff rehashed for literally the 4th time now, the Great Community By The Way says you're "just a hater". You're just "an opp". You're just "not REALLY a fan". You should just "Take a break".We're getting 6.3 again is what the LL was.

Their new cooldown is gonna be six minutes so I dunno about that. They'll only be usable during combat in "casual" 4-man duties, and most bosses in that sort of content only take two or three minutes tops unless the healer dies early-mid fight, dragging out to five or six minutes(or wiping) when the healer dies early-to-mid into to pull. What CSIII thinks will happen: "This will prioritize healers as the only job class that can truly perform raises on demand, providig an expanded role for them in parties. I look just like the roes next door... if you happen to live next door to an amusement park.

IIRC, Phoenix Downs don't work for the 8-player trials, so stuff like AAC will still need raising.I like the phoenix down update; it relieves some pressure from healers not to die while learning content when there isn't a SMN/RDM in the party.
On the other hand, SMN/RDM may lose some of their utility and need, so hopefully they compensate those jobs in some way also.
