10th Anniversary tattoos

It's neat that legacy players have a special tattoo to show they were around since 1.0. But as someone who has been playing for almost a decade, I would love if players that have been playing for a decade get a special tattoo that is similar to the Legacy one for both our characters and Chocobos. Maybe the symbol of Azem being one choice? Or one that looks similar to the Legacy one? Should players playing a decade get one or if SE is feeling lazy, just give us access to the Legacy Tattoo but obviously without the perks like cheaper sub prices and such or should there be a different design?

Honestly I agree. It would be nice it the vets get something like that too, I've been playing since release just didn't pay those 3 months required to get the tattoo. Yep all you really needed to do was to pay 3 months during their campaign for the tattoo and endless price cut privilege...

Now after more than a decade you'd think they kinda throw something at people who are subbed for that time too...

The Legacy mark has nothing to do with the Legacy Campaign, you just simply had to have had a character in 1.0 at any time, at any level (even a level 1 that never went beyond the opening cutscene), and transfer that character into ARR. Hence the mark was simply a nice way of saying thank you to those who played the original game and were sticking by SE by now continuing into ARR.

ARR has the Veteran Rewards and now things attached to achievements, although I could get behind some kind of icon that could be displayed on the nameplate (like a crystal icon or something) for those who signed up at launch. Unfortunately, given the game's enormous population, it really wouldn't be as much of an achievement as it would appear, if nearly everyone has it (as it is, ARR had over a million players at launch alone. It's paraphrasing Syndrome's line from The Incredibles, "When everyone is special, no one is..." The Legacy mark is special because of it's exclusivity I'm afraid, it's something that is completely unattainable and only a handful of players really have it (and yes, I'm a 1.0 player and my character has the mark on her back).

It's not that they don't care, it is that, someone starting new now, sees a reward for 10 years of playing that they really want, and then get disheartened that they will never be able to get it, or it is a really long way off and this is the exact reason they gave.

They should put more things in the achievement shop though.

Nah, that would mean they would have to dip into character customization and they are allergic to that sadly.

More likely, they would put these items in the cash shop, seeing that they are already currently testing the waters with the latest outfits.

TBH, the only thing I really would want would be the discounted sub, like it's not a huge difference, but neck tattoos are hard since there aren't many male outfits that reveal the back unless shirtless, so it's useless for me.
