I still haven't seen a good reason why we shouldn't have gear swaps. Inventory? PFF YOUR GOING TO HAVE 8 other chars! Lets not forget we only had 50 inv in ffxi if you didn't do the gob bag.
Situational? Pfff, as others have mentioned there is going to be the gear you should have anyways for each fight, so don't see a point.
Speed of play? If you can't do it, well, you won't be that pro now would you.

Also guess what, if you don't like it don't use it.... come on people!!
30 w/o gobbie bag, but w/e I had 240 on char it didn't make me like gear swapping. I had 4 chars, it just made it more of a pain in the ass, log relog relog some more to get geared, fk that.

Unless you want to be a gimp that wastes your PT's time you'll be expected to have gear swaps. I think we should just have sets of armor that specialize in different play styles, etc. The most annoying thing ever in FFXI was trying to heal a blinking tank. Whenever they would die and get all mad I'd be like well..stop blinking so damn much...
This, yes, so right.
Why do people say things like, "If you don't like it don't do it, play how you want." and always leave out the part where ppl will kick you, or simply not invite in the first place. I don't care if I get called gimp, but being "forced" to carry gear and swap for every ability again in this game wouldn't make me happy.

I think though that the best reason to not include it remains, it wasn't meant to happen in XI it was an exploit that was so widely put to use that SE allowed it to stay and designed content around it as best they could. Why would they bring something from XI that they didn't want into this game?
