I agree with you OP, Normal mode would be the right way to go. Unfortunately, I'm betting that they instead will just do some bandaid fixes to FT and leave it at that. Having ~400 clears across all servers is really an embarrassment and should be an indicator to them that their design was an unmitigated failure, so I would not be surprised if they just completely abandon this concept by the next stage and just do something else (perhaps a Normal of whatever's next) and don't waste their resources trying to tinker with this further. I'm not saying that's the right thing to do, but that's what I'm expecting them to do.

Yoshida said in the LL that the other Forked Tower will have normal and savage, but that's almost a full year away and they could decide that normal isn't worth the COST.

The lier didnt say it will. He only said they are considering it. So tbh here. There wont be an normal mode. He just said it there might be one with PR speech to downplay the problem.
