Oh, you mean like all threads will eventually fell off the front page and need to be bumped? It happened to hroth-viera headgear thread. It also happens to unlock glam thread, which I believe is the most supported common cause and yet the devs still ignore it.

I wouldnt even bother with that poster, literally nobody else cares about the number of threads on any specific topic. The front page gets taken up by forked tower because that's just the hot topic right now. When that dies down, the evergreen topics will move up again. In short: a completely normal forum progression.

"Hello, i'm Klu, an happy OP tank that don't need healer to solo an EX trial. Since healer are useless for me they just should stfu and don't whine about the mess that their role is"
Realistically because all the original complaints about non engaging healer gameplay still remain unchanged. That and I agree that you shouldn't have to run an ultimate to feel like your class has any weight to the party. Like don't get me wrong I play wow. An overgeared tank makes healers not have to do literally any healing in that game too. But at least in wow I have an engaging enough dps toolkit to vibe on during the fights. We even have classes like discipline priest which just have a dps rotation and heal based off the damage we deal. The game could benefit from fewer shorter cd ogcd heals and more of an actual dps presence so people weren't bored out of their mind spamming 1 while the tank does everything.
#FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE
Because the developers haven't acknowledged or addressed the issues and will probably just continue making them worse, because their solution to tanks having too much heals and healers being too weak is buff tanks and give tanks more heals.
Why do you need Healer to be " fun" when all you do is sit in limsa most of the time?
Also, speak for yourself, lol.
I am all for casual dungeons/ally raids where a misstep will cause a party/alliance wipe, getting stuck having to do multiple attempts/pulls to clear, and having healer check raidwides, just be careful what you wish for.So, is it a wise move on Square's part to not make any effort to ensure a significant portion of that player base are enjoying their role in regular content?

The just complete lack of nuance is mind bogglingWhy do you need Healer to be " fun" when all you do is sit in limsa most of the time?

Like you do understand there is a middle ground between “whatever the hell you call modern healers” and “the party is a statue of glass being held together by the poor healer who has to be pixel perfect”
Is it so much to ask for class design that doesn’t look like it’s designed by Cookie clicker addicts
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
But how do you make an encounter to push you to use your class to your fullest if everything hits like a wet noodle. Shrug..lol. Healers do exactly that: heal. If there is not enough damage incoming and enough punishing mechanics, you cannot use your rotation fully, it's not rocket science to understand that. The just complete lack of nuance is mind boggling

For example: shift more healer actions from healing related to dps related, nerf overpowered heals from other roles, nerd overpowered healing oGCDs. None of these suggestions are rocket science, they existed in the game before SE decided to rip it all out. There is no one single thing that makes healer design bad in this game, it's a compound of issues that the devs have created over the years. And lets not forget, during the time healer design was a lot more complex, they were not the role that had to be bribed with mounts to get played. But how do you make an encounter to push you to use your class to your fullest if everything hits like a wet noodle. Why nerf/mess with classes and risk making the overall balance of the classes to become a mess when you can just do harder encounters for which classes are already balanced for?For example: shift more healer actions from healing related to dps related, nerf overpowered heals from other roles, nerd overpowered healing oGCDs. Also, it's never healthy to dwell on the past, especially over a past that has been so long ago. They moved away from that design and direction. What makes you think SE will return to it?
