Right, but that's what people tend to do anyway. And my point is that the pendulum swings towards people being against negativity in the game itself, and that maybe that is a reflection of unhappy people having unsubscribed.People shouldn't be ridiculed when giving feedback regardless of if it's positive or negative. Feedback of any type is how a product improves people shouldn't have to shut up and blindly take whatever content is giving because people don't like seeing any type of feedback that is perceived as "too negative" or "too positive". And people shouldn't be ostracized or ganged up on to the point of making someone leave an instance because they don't like someone leaving negative feedback.
What I dont understand is why they are still wasting time and resources on dungeons. The 4-man dungeons in this game are probably the worst piece of content I’ve ever seen in an MMO.
The dungeons in DT are literally copy pasted with different enemy models and backgrounds.
GW2 stopped doing dungeons long ago (and they were a lot better to begin with) there’s no shame in admitting that something is just trash and to move forward.
Tbh...
Jeeqbit probably put more effort into redacting those names than what devs spent discussing how the relic progression should pan out.
They aren't bad, they're approachable by pretty much the entire playerbase, and have the most staying power of any content in the game. What I dont understand is why they are still wasting time and resources on dungeons. They absolutely should not stop making them, at least until after they've come up with and implemented something better.
I agree with you in principle, but equally entering content, joining a party, and then criticizing said content in chat seems a little off to me.People shouldn't be ridiculed when giving feedback regardless of if it's positive or negative. Like a major reason so much of the content is crap is that people dutifully queue into it as if it's some sort of moral obligation. If you don't like content, leave reasons why here, and don't engage with it.
SE is obsessed with participation numbers. Non-participation is one of our few pressure points to create change.

It's for the MSQ. And the game doesn't really allow people to do the MSQ with their friends, but it seems they want that a bit by allowing you to clear the dungeon with them. There's no point not making them because if they weren't dungeons, they'd just be solo duties instead, which is the same resources if you think about it.
On a personal level, dungeons are good as a stress relief. You instantly queue in to 3 friends and you can relieve stress on bosses and enemies. It's nice for if you get some stressful news. I find that after it, I'm ready to focus on dealing with the stressful thing.
I think what rather needs to happen is something of a merger of dungeons and variant dungeons. Then the trash in it could be more interesting and a measure be added to avoid waiting for an NPC to catch up if you enter through a roulette.
I agree with you on Endwalker dawntrail tried but failed so hard because we follow a Wuk Lamat holding her hand everywhere as I doubt her every moveThey are pushing a very very vanilla world right now. Everyones in peace, and everyone will drop everything they got to help our heroes in need at any point for the memberberries. The world might not have nation or politics at all.
Vrtra formed an alliance over a discord call in 5 minutes with a nation he knows nothing about. GRAND STRATEGY.
I still hold to this day, that Endwalker destroyed worldbuilding in this game. They are doing their best to leave any old inkling of the old power structure behind, and focus on spaceships and shizz.
I agree that feedback would be better with being put on various forums but at times it feels square enix and the devs don't read any of the feedback or take months/years to actually act on it.I agree with you in principle, but equally entering content, joining a party, and then criticizing said content in chat seems a little off to me.

That is when the true Vana'diel of legend will be reborn.
Agree, mobs in variant dungeons are way better than MSQ dungeons. Unfortunately I don't see the basic design of boss fights is going to change because it's become so entangled with job design and the raiding scene. Still puzzles me that boss design has been downhill for several expansions. It's for the MSQ. One curious exception over the DT era is PvP and specifically Frontline, which I'll share here to remind SQEX they can actually do things well.
Briefly, FL was in the doldrums from mid-EW to 7.1. A stale, solved meta that basically had a single winning formula, making a small subset of jobs in a premade the path to victory.
Many of us complained here and offered a range of suggestions.
In 7.1, significant changes were made, about 30% reflecting the pleas of the players, with another 70% being completely out of the blue and quite terrible.
And there was a wailing and a gnashing of teeth.
So again we explained why the bulk of these changes were a disaster, and remarkably in 7.2 a lot of our complaints were addressed. Further tweaks have been made since then, largely in line with player feedback.
It's not all sunshine and lemoncakes given two of the maps are actually PvE, but job design and combat are now pretty good.
My guess is PvP can respond more rapidly because the mode is basically in its own little bubble, but equally I really believe PvP devs regard the players as a resource for ideas and improvements, rather than a hostile horde that should be ignored.
