If democracy leads to oppression and bigotry, dictates who I love and how I live in a way that effects me and people I care about, I will oppose Democracy.

Basic human rights need to be protected at all cost and should not be used as things to be voted on or debated on, It's extreme to think we can just vote away human rights in my opinion.

So in order to avoid the alleged oppression of your own community, you want to oppress a different community.

That honestly doesnt sound very healthy to me.
