Lupin - make it a playable race!

the hats issue is always crazy to me bc i look at the crowds around me in any given location (even the icons in this thread) and 80-90% of non-hroths and vieras arent even wearing hats (or the hats are hroth/viera accessible).


this is not anti-hat slander (lol), but i think its incredibly limiting and uncreative to expect every hat and every hair to work on every race. i would like lupin and it does not matter to me if they cant wear a hat i wasnt going to wear anyways, but i do massively appreciate SE going through the effort to fit what they can to the unique head shape.

The issue regarding the beast-like races goes far beyond people wanting hats, it only highlights an issue that any future races would have to deal with

Even the Hrothgar character creator is very limited as it stands, and their models are a far cry from the Ronso you'd expect in FFX. You could chalk it up to being a difference in art style, but I think it's a disservice to what the Ronso are by making them mostly humanoid though that's just my opinion. That isn't to say the Hrothgar look bad, I am just a little disappointed they don't seem more beast like.

Anything more complex would likely be even more restricted
Whether it be Burmecians, Mamool Ja, or Lupin

and the thing is, we were supposed to be compensated for the lack of hats but they have yet to deliver on that either.
From what I recall, instead of wearing hats we would have unique hairstyles but nothing of the sort has ever come out unless you include the basic starter hair, which would be pretty ridiculous considering there would be a constant influx of hats yet nothing new for those two races

It's why I've mentioned before that instead of new races, I'd like for them to work on the ones they have and expand the character creator.
That way, as a Hrothgar I could have the iconic Ronso horn regardless of what face I used, and more hairstyles to choose from

It seems like the perfect time to do it, because they are already working on the graphics update. It makes sense to me that the next big project would be something along those lines

None of this to say that I would want them to never add new races, just to focus on what we have first and improve on it
