Because all the races except Hrothgar are some variation of human lol. Sure, two or three of them have animal ears tacked on, but they're still just ultimately just humans.

No. Miqos have ears and tails with fur on them. So they are furries obviously.

Even after the graphics update, the last 2 races added to the game (FIVE YEARS AGO) are unfinished, not to mention all the others also having problems.

I'd rather they fix and expand what we already have first.

But it does serve as a time capsule of things that just aged poorly.

We already have a massive thread about this, so what made you think we needed another?

And no. The whole story is about humanoid races vs beastmen. The warrior of light belongs to the former. The wolfheads to the latter. There won't ever be beastmen warriors of light and they're not going to change the whole story to add a race that wouldn't be popular anyway.

Where is the racial variety in Viera? They're just hyur with bunny ears and a small cotton ball tail.

What we got didn't even get the cute cotton tail, dammit.

I'd much rather have half-elezen than any more full on furry races. Cat ears and bunny ears are fine because miqo'te and viera are otherwise people, or the race of men as the game defines it, but hrothgar and lupins are just straight up beasts. I don't think we should have had hrothgar to begin with, but it's here already so let's keep them the only exception to this.

Half-Elezen as a midground between Hyur and Elezen then? Because pointy-eared Hyur is too shallow.

Not to mention the inevitable flood of requests for half-everything-else.

I think dev resources would be better spent overhauling character creation, adding more options and variety and making something like half-Elezen an option in Hyur customization, rather than a full new race.

Hrothgals still have technical problems, Viera and Hrothgar are debateably unfinished, there's gearsets that cut off tails...

I think before anything else, polishing what is here should take priority.

That's the beauty of it, it's as simple as slapping pointy ears on midlanders. Not a lot of resources required, that way those can be focused on more important stuff like improving options for the current races.
I feel like Hyur and Elezen are close enough, but I absolutely don't want to see any other half-races. They should all be kept as distinct species, with no interbreeding. Imagine a half lala half roe. Just a giant beefy roe with a potato head. It would be an absolute monstrosity, a sin against nature.
