The catch with that is there aren't really any Endless around right now (except Calyx himself, and ones whose sidequests you didn't do in Living Memory).
Calyx's ultimate goal is to continue invading other worlds to plunder them for aether. To do that he needs the Key, and to get that he needs to kill or at least defeat us (the PC / Warrior of Light, specifically). An enhanced robotic doppelganger of Alexandria's strongest soldier barely fazed us - nothing in his arsenal right now has the capacity to do what he needs.
Meanwhile everything he's doing with Alexandria appears to be making people already prone to existential dread as afraid of death as possible and destabilizing society at the same time. Returning Sphene (as "the Simulant") only to have her vanish into the aether, attacking Solution Nine with the roboguards, and distributing a limited number of "Neo Regulators" that by ostensibly turning their wearers into Endless will liberate them from the fear of death (and stoke others' own fear through envy). Meanwhile dude (presumably wearing a Neo Regulator) got dusted at The Outskirts... I'm sure there's more information we don't have yet, but there's only one way I can see this ending with what we have right now.
