As someone earlier in this thread said, "Just use an apartment." you can do the same things there. Well my Server, and I assume many other don't have them.

This isnt true. Ive heard rumors about Balmung being low on apartments, so thinking maybe this was a Crystal specific problem i traveled over. Picked a random ward in Lavender Beds(19 if that matters), and less then half the apartments were taken. If the first ward i randomly picked in a popular district was less then half full, i see no need to randomly pick others to check. There just ARE apartments still, and apartments work just fine for chocobo dying.

This isnt me saying the system shouldnt be improved, this isnt me saying apartments are just as good. This is just me saying that the statement above is false, that server isnt out of apartments.

I'm in a housing Discord and this was posted.

Someone asked how it happened, and those were the answers. Later responses were they did it by buying out FCs with alternate characters.

Now either that person is doing it to be special and have a whole ward, or they're going to upcharge relo's to people later.

... This is why we can't find houses, or have a chance. Sure, there's already a limited supply. But this is ridiculous. And the fact they get away with it is even more messed up.
Like.. I saw this and I'm just .... Ugh. This is another reason I tend to dislike billionaires in this game.



NOTE: This is on Diablos, on Crystal. Even if it's not a busy server, it's one of the busiest DCs. So even worse.

Everyone one those FCs is a submarine Gil farming opportunity.
And the richer people are the more stuff costs, and supply doesn't increase for all items equally. ("Just buy raiding gear then" go F yourself)

housing for fc only including a member minimum you need according to the house size. that would solve it. but i guess people wouldnt like it.

Are we imitating real life then ? Because if that's the case, then multiowning should continue to be allowed since its a thing in real life. Also rent would only punish the casuals that dont play much, not multiowners, but this isnt even about multiowners, this is about "wow this person hasnt got their house decorated, it should be mine" because somehow you feel entitled to someone else's house that they struggled for with the horrible housing system.

Nope, even if you removed every house from multiowners or from casual players that have 2 or 3 houses (there's a lot), there still wouldnt be anywhere near as many houses as the game needs to have one for everyone, but as I said above, this is all about entitlement so there's not really a need to go further down that part of your post, work as hard as the multiowners do and you'll have it, or sit and complain about them, your choice really.

Instead of trying to actually fix the issue by adding dynamic ward housing which would create houses so everyone can at the very least get a small, the community prefers to attack its own and try to be vultures to try and take people's houses, great community btw.

And no, instanced housing is not an option, that boring concept can stay on other games.

This is insulting... and its those ppl that go ahead and break markets as they get hold on too many items - i bet theres a reason they dont use garden made items for crafting anymore... and most times they will use bots to keep it active and everyone else has bad luck..

The only thing i give ppl like those is, at least the fill the garden, less bad then the bots that not even add an teleport lol

Imagine thinking bots actually use housing to make gil.

People that use submarines barely even take part in the market as they get their gil well, from submarines that can be sold at a vendor, at least those using the most popular builds for it.

Also by that standard, everyone with a garden not decorated is a bot. But as I just said above, bots dont use housing to make gil, go on Dynamis and watch them fly around new gridania, I promise you they arent going to a housing area.

This is what makes me laugh with people that have 0 clue what they're talking about, just spouting nonsense to try and put the blame on multiowners for everything, it's pretty hilarious.

It's not that hard to get really, submarines take over 2 to 3 months to even be setup to START making gil, there's no way anyone can actually think that this is viable for someone botting.

I am a multi home owner but I only have a personal and a single FC plot for my two mains in separate data centers. I have always said they need to restrict ownership of FC plots the same as personal plots, one per world and I would be ok if it was one per data center. They also need to force those that own multiple plots in the same ward and such to choose the single personal and FC plot they wish to keep. Give a 45 day period to decide which plots to demolish and you would be refunded the entire cost of the plot. If you don't choose, then the game would choose for you randomly and demolish the rest. I'm tired of seeing my ward in Dynamis being filled by submarine shacks that are empty and owned by one or two people for the entire ward. It would free up thousands of plots across all data centers and that would at least give many players a chance to own a plot that soon will allow you to have the size of a mansion inside despite the size plot it is.



I have also said Island Sanctuary should have been made into instanced housing and that they should make you run through the housing wards to reach them so that the wards see some more foot traffic. I also would love if they had your retainers wandering around, hanging out with your neighbors retainers and more throughout the wards so they feel lively of sorts.

thats the point though not everyone needs a house. so many people want a house just to have it.

why does someone who plays once a week needs a house? an appartement would be enough in those cases. you can decorate it, but there is no point in being a member in a neighbourhood if you arent around anyway.

1st of all it wouldnt free "thousands", you really overestimate the amount of multiowners

2nd, dynamis is a dead DC, you understand that them getting rid of all the multiowners would simply mean dead wards right, with empty plots for weeks and months on end ? Hali, mari and madu would simply become like Materia and have people with 1 house or 2 taken in the ward and lead to an even worse feeling than it is now, lets not even talk about the 4 new worlds that are complete ghost towns

Multiowners take the housing that people are not interested in, and Dynamis is exactly that, because guess what, if people actually wanted those houses, they would have competed agaisnt the multiowners, but weirdly enough they didnt, I wonder why that is... Probably because people arent interested in a dead DC.
