I also don't feel them limiting glamour plates at all. Just give us the ability to add as many glamour plates as we need (maybe some high hard limit). You can even make us pay with some rare ingame-items or gil for them.
We've been pushing for this for years. They've said no, but there is always hope.

If they are going to bother remaking the system, making exceptions for certain items just makes it more complicated. Really everything is cosmetics once you level past it. A collection system should have less data requirement than the current glamour system, even more so if they bite the bullet and make it account wide. That would solve the problem with cash shop items being sent to only one character.
